Kawaki has the roman numeral 9 on his cheek and that dude on your post has the number 4.
It could be that each one of them has some type of connection with each other beyond the seals.

Not really sure, It would be that since they are transmigrants they dont have the necessary or adequate requirements for it.
Ive noticed ever since the Sarada gaiden that there seems to be a theme "body" theme from originals.
Shin and the shin clones were experiments done to achieve something, both body and sharingan.
Mitsuki and his clones are also experiments from a culmination of studying sage/curse seal etc.
Kawaki seems to be a vessel as well and an experiment from someone, his entails the otsutsuki and other things we haven't seen yet.
Boruto is a natural born vessel from being a mixture of both hagoromo and hamura's descendants.
Its just a thought.

Whelp this is what happen when you set the bar too high expecting the series to be completely different from its premises. Mitsuki and Sarada are side kick characters much like Brock and Misty. They don't hold much purposes to the story since the whole plot regarding the villains, theme and the lore are centered around Boruto and his potential. Basically, Mitsuki and Sarada are only there to compliment Boruto which ultimately makes them less appealing. In a grand scheme, this is a bad writing which focuses only the MC but that also doesn't excuse that Sarada and Mitsuki are any better shape as characters when they lack character development pertaining to their own goal and story arc.

Because these casts serves as nothing more but plot devices, Boruto still remain as the most developed of the new cast bar none.

The only character that hold as much prominence as the Protagonist is if that said person is a rival which had always been the reoccurring factor with the story. If Sarada goal is to become Hokage, does that hold any more impact to the story when Kaweki already accomplished in changing the ERA of Shinobi even when Boruto admitted his defeat. This was the narrative of the story but people often ignore these messages and they are blinded by their fav character only because they allowed their ego and biasm toward the MC they personally despise which only sets themselves for disappointment.


In other word, You guys had it shortcoming thus anyone who still reading Boruto after realizing that it's "His Story" with 23 consecutive chapter about Boruto, this is exactly what you guys sign up for.
