Yes Boruto anime is the real deal not the manga. and i'm gonna explain why.
1-Art: Boruto Manga has a very inconsistent art and many characters are drawn ugly, Ikemoto sometimes has many issues with the proportions of the characters. Mitsuki Sarada and Boruto in chapter 15 looked like infants, In the anime they are younger yet they look in the manga younger and in the anime older. Many times i noticed boruto was drawn like 3 cms tall no kidding.

2-Sarada :
Ohhhh Sarada Poor Sarada what they have done to u! Apparently u exisit for sexual purposes now. Sarada in the manga UNFORTUNATELY wears stripper clothes :
While in the anime they changed it to her kishi version most probably permanently :
3-Story:
Yes i Know Boruto manga is way ahead in the story and things started to look very serious but Boruto manga lacks what Boruto anime has been giving us and it's developing side characters and focusing on charracters other than boruto. Boruto anime is giving us world building with this next arc in the hidden mist and introduing more new characters to the show. it's also giving us more interaction between boruto and sarada in the next episode. oh and mitsuki too basically team konohamaru interactions.
4-Characters:
Boruto anime has more characters . Iwabe Denki and Sumire. We can also see Toneri in there while in the manga he was never shown or mentioned. Boruto anime showed us boruto's eyes powers and its name before the manga and turst me boruto's eye is very important later on for the plot and character. Boruto manga hasn't done anything concerning boruto's eyes at all.
5-Old generation charracters:
In Boruto anime we have such moments
We also had quite a focus on Sai in sumrie arc and then we saw Kakashi battle. We had a whole arc about Sakura sasuke in the anime. We saw Rock lee on episode 16. Choji in ep 18 19 and 23 interacting with chocho. Shino focus in the whole first arc. Many other NaruHina moments . and we saw hanabi hiashi and more himawari. in the manga we only got to see from the old generation shikamaru sasuke and naruto.
Knowing that the anime is eventually animating the manga. IMO Boruto anime is the real deal not the manga. the manga exists for the main plot the anime exists for depth and improving over the manga.
IN CONCLUSION BORUTO ANIME>>>>>>>>>>>>>>BORUTO MANGA ANYDAY
Edit: wait and see how KARA members designs are gonna be 10x better in the anime . it was also confirmed we're having backstory of momo and kinshiki and aslo additions to the boruto movie plot arc
