Ukyo does in fact work on the script of the Anime as much as he does for the Manga.

Someone tried saying this in NF and they were proved wrong. Ukyo is the story supervisor though.

Kodachi is story supervisor (ストーリー監修) of anime. Kishimoto sensei is supervisor (監修)(of manga).
Link removed

Kodachi writes script/screen play for original work of Boruto manga on which anime is based.
Not for Boruto anime.
I think who made entry to MAL got confused or MAL does not have role of adding screenplay of original work.
Spoiler: Hide

Series composition for anime is Makoto Uezu who you can say is responsible for over all writing of anime. Individual episodes have different script writers. Though Kodachi as story supervisor (ストーリー監修) and Kishimoto sensei as supervisor (監修)(of manga) can have their input (Examples: Episode 8 & 9)

So if Ukyo is Supervisor, that still means he has an input on the story?

He focuses on the Manga, but if he feels that he needs to input something he can.

Same with Kishimoto. They don't directly involve with the story, Boruto has a team for that. But they probably make sure the story is still 'Boruto' time to time.

I'm sure when they involve themselves in the Anime, he'll confirm it VIA twitter.

Kishimoto has not worked on the Anime since 8 & 9 according to Ukyo Kodachi
I don't think Ukyo Kodachi said that or even alluded said. to Kishi having no insolvent beyond episode 8-9, what said was:

“Boruto is created underMr Kishimoto’s careful (extremely careful) supervision, but episode 8 and 9 were originally one episode, and it became two episodes due to thoughts such as “let’s expand this because it’s interesting”, “let’s add to that”, “let’s go with this type of theme” from Mr Kishimoto and I. And Miwa (Kiyomune Miwa) who does the scripts worked very hard due to this excitement from us.”

He simply said that episodes 1-8 were originally 1 episode but his ideas with Kishi's expanded them. He didn't say Kishi cut ties and walked away.

Whether it's canon or not is open to interpretation

I don't really remember him specifying anything in particular other than Episodes 8 and 9 for Kishimoto's input

This doesn't really change what either of us said though.

Considering Kishimoto stated that the first Arc was legitimate, and that the Anime is an adaption of the Manga. Makes it non-canon unless Kishimoto himself states certain arcs are.

You have 0% credibility here. I have a hunch that your parents don't even listen to what you have to say :lol

kishi said the whole anime is canon before it starts through "I'M GONNA MAKE IT BETTER THAN NARUTO"

Kishimoto said the same thing about Road to Ninja. Stop typing.

you're implying he worked ONLY in these episodes
Ukyo himself stated that Kishimoto has only given input to episode 8 and 9. Whether he actually looks at the drafts does't mean anything though.

Kishimoto worked on Road to Ninja extensively as well :lol

movie does not equal a whole anime. a possibly 100 +ep anime
Kishimoto working on something doesn't make it canon. That's why the Last isn't canon just based on that.

For the Last, it's only taken as canon because it was advertised as 699.5.
Boruto the Movie came out with a time line that connected it to the events of the Naruto series, and Kishimoto writing it by himself along with Ukyo as support pretty much did it alone.

Kishimoto has come out to say that certain arcs are legit. That means there are arcs that are more important than others, especially in his eyes. You have to show proof that every arc is canon, when Kishimoto has made a announcement that the Arc's are not the same.

I don't know why your dodging the question.

Yo, I think someone has a serious internet obsession with you
It's nothing new

Naruto Shippūden episode director Noriyuki Abe will serve as chief director, and Hiroyuki Yamashita is returning from Boruto -Naruto the Movie- to direct at Studio Pierrot. Ukyō Kodachi, author of the Boruto: Naruto Next Generations manga, is supervising the story.
