Bonsai Island
Bonsai Island is known for the high quality of its beer. Many breweries and pubs are located in the villages and towns here due to the fertile volcanic soil that characterizes the island. A single shard fortuitously struck only one brewery on Bonsai and luckily with zero casualties, but the resulting chaos and cleanup allowed it's many competitors to swoop in and fill the vacuum, and steal the former brewer's recipe. Underground volcanic activity has left the island with thick deposits of tephra, which has since weathered to rich soils, and it naturally cools the waters of its many small lakes and streams. The villagers named them ‘foam lake’s because they seem to perpetually be covered in a light froth as a result of the heat. On the island’s eastern side there is a large forest entirely made of bonsai trees; a popular tourist destination from which the island gets its name.
