Boruto defeats Mitsuki and it isn't even funny. Especially so since Mitsuki's skill set involves stretching his arms.

By the end of the movie Boruto has enough feats, and skill, and techniques to murk his whole generation.

Me and KG talked about yesterday and it's quite hilarious :lol

Kishimoto made him a cheater and he still shits on his generation XD

I didn't want to start a flame war because people are enjoying Boruto's "cheating" thing when it's actually the best thing for his character.

I guess I'm the only one who understands it because I saw the movie

I'll write a post on since people don't know the full story.

Boruto's character, despite what you may think based on perception through spoilers, and small glimpses of the movie, is true. He's a cheater. It's clear as day in the movie. Boruto even uses cheat codes in video games (didn't we all, or at least I did in GTA). He likes short cuts, technology, and all that good stuff in between.

At the same time he's quite intelligent, prodigal, and talented. But with that comes a price in his character with the era he lives in. Because of the time and the technological world, it's much different from Naruto's era. War and killing is almost unknown, playing video games after missions is a daily routine for most children shinobi, and it's almost shows glimpses of our world too.

Due to the fact that things come naturally easy to Boruto, he doesn't like to train ... A better word for it would be that he is "unmotivated" to train. In fact his team mates and sensei (Konohamaru) constantly talk to him about this. But to Boruto, being a shinobi is meaningless in this era. He doesn't understand it's purpose (flash back to Sarada in Chapter 1). While generally things might come easy to Boruto (as in he stated he can already use; Raiton, Fuuton, and now 'lately' Suiton too), he also has the eagerness to do things the easy way, and to find shortcuts to his path even though he can generally do things on his own. This is what sets him apart from Naruto, and what makes his character unique, among other traits.

The only reason why Boruto was allured to the device, outside of his general love for mechanics and technology, was because of Katasuke. They both had a relationship before where he would give Boruto game data for his video games so that he wouldn't have to level up harshly and spend hours of his day playing video games, unlike his best friends Inojin and Shikidai (they hang out every mission at a near Burger Joint).

Anyway Katasuke tricks Boruto into using the device in the Chunin Exams as a marketing scheme, he knows of Boruto's open relationship with his father, so he begins to state and tell Boruto if he were to use the device, his father would be extremely proud of him. Boruto doesn't realize what he is doing is wrong until after the second part of the exams (when he actually uses it), he even consoles himself after Naruto visits him in his room and congratulates him, afterwards Boruto cries because his father finally acknowledged him.

Consistently most of situations where Boruto used the device, he could of won with his one skill. But I digress, the times where he would of lost was clear; Such as getting out numbered 9 to 3 (I don't believe there was a clear way he could of won unless he used those techniques), and getting tricked by Shikidai.

Though in all fairness, most of Boruto's matches where he used the device itself, weren't things he couldn't do alone. For example Boruto used a shuriken enhanced by the device which did things Sasuke taught him to do already, instead of showing his own skill with the shuriken, he relied on the device itself to do the work for him. Further showing that Boruto is quite the lazy individual. I think we can all relate to this though, in our generation, we are being showed new ways to do things we can do already. Aren't we? I'm only paraphrasing though, it has a much deeper goal than this to the audience, which is why this movie is really symbolic for this generation, and the generation us 90s kids grew up in.

Even against Shikidai, Boruto only used shadow clones. Despite having a much larger skill set.

> Three elemental natures (which he never used)
> Rasengan / Vanishing Rasengan (which can't be seen)
> Advanced Shuriken Jutsu

Want to see my post on his character and development?

Sure, he was a cheater. Nothing wrong with that, you are acting as if that's an insult.

You seemed to care enough when I said he defeats anyone in his generation. Trying to play slick now Immortal, you and I know better.

:bdpf:
I wouldn't expect you to understand since you haven't seen the movie, if you think him being a Mary Sue who can do anything without any flaws is better, then you don't understand anything about characters nor development

:bdpf:

Especially so since Kishimoto made him go through different phases to reach where he ended up now. Cheating is the best thing for his character, because not only did it hold him back, but it also showed the core structure of problems we face today. It's a quite strong message from Kishimoto, believe it or not.

You want me to give an explanation or do you enjoy being a narcissist?

Lol, I dont even comment that much but when I saw this I just had to... Anyways, Boruto is not the best of his generation. He is good and has skill no doubt but saying he is the best is invalid.

1. We have to see how each character develops through the story to even decide who is better than whom.
2. We haven't really seen a showcase of the rest of his generations abilities so how are you guys saying he is the best? Compared to what exactly.
3. Again, Boruto is good and highly skilled I agree with that. I do not believe he is the best of his generation. Simply because there isn't enough informaton about the other characters to go on.
