The laser doesn't explode.
-Nothing is stopping Madara to use the wood dragon with golem, which was canonically use to redirect the bomb to blow it back to Kurama. He is going to need to FTG out.

So no, Mokujin isn't catching anything here. Instead it gets blown to bits. Even then, Kurama's Avatar tanked the Juubi Laser, with some moderate damage. A single Bijuu Dama isn't going to do anything, while a Bijuu Dama weaker than the ones Minato fires

Mokujin in canon.
So whether he catches it or not, Madara is the one who loses his construct.
- Madara will not play around here, since he gave Onoki a breather to counter the FTW. If he see it coming he can use Deva Path along with Jukai, underneath, to stop him from forming a Buijuudama. So again he will be force to use FTG. Jukai was stated to canonically change the trajectory of a TBB, so he is stopping it from blowing up in his advantage area.
Except he had to get Onoki into the forest first. The Kurama Avatar gives him enough elevation that he won't be in the forest, and he can nuke it all with Bijuu Dama from the get go.
Deva Path to do what? Repel or Attract? And even if Jukai Kotan wraps around him from underneath, like you said he can warp away. Or he can just dodge it with the Avatar. He'll have tags on the battlefield to teleport to.
And I'm pretty sure Hashirama needed the help of the alliance's Doton Wall to divert the ball to sea. Regardless, Minato can teleport and fire Bijuu Dama at the same time, just how he'd teleport and hit the opponent with Rasengan. So Madara won't be able to divert the ball.
So far Minato will heavenly rely on FTG in this match. Deva Path, Pretra path combo also counters TBB. Deva Path counters FTG in general.
Deva Path doesn't counter Hiraishin in any way, shape, or form. And Preta Path absorbing a Bijuu Dama of the sizes Minato can make is nothing but a no limits fallacy.
