Epilogue
A month later…
“Itachi, hurry up already… The ceremony is about to start.” Sasuke snapped, entering the room. “You look great.”
“I feel like a nervous wreck.” Itachi said. “It’s so not me. I perform in front of a thousand people without any stage fright and now I am nervous.”
“Well getting married is a big step.” Sasuke said. “You are doing the right thing. You are moving on with your life with happiness so stop your worrying loser.”
“I see that Ashley made you smarter.” Itachi teased. “She is good for you.”
“SHUT UP!!!” Sasuke screamed.
“Is everything alright in there?” Sasori asked, walking in the room.
“Everything is fine.” Itachi said.
“Well you better hurry your ass up.” Deidara snapped. “You are going to be late for your own wedding.”
“I don’t plan to.” Itachi said. “Sasuke…”
“What?” He snapped.
“Thank you…”
“Don’t mention it…” Sasuke said, pushing him through the door. “Come on loser, you are going to be late.”
“Stop moving… You are going to mess up the dress.” Ashley scolded, helping her older sister get ready. “You know it wasn’t easy to make it.” She was wearing a jade green gown with white roses decorated on her baby blue hair.
“I am sorry… I am just nervous.” Alexia said, staring at the mirror. “I feel like I am going to faint.”
“Just take deep breaths…” Aleria said, helping her with the veil. “You are going to be fine. You are going to walk out the up there and marry your prince charming.” She was also wearing a green dress. “I will be there because I am your Maiden of Honor so don’t worry.”
“I know… It’s just I can’t believe its happening. I am getting married.” Alexia said, giggling. “It feels like a dream.
“Well, it’s a dream come true.” Ashley replied. “Now, you are ready.”
“I have to be up there right now…” Aleria said, walking towards the door. “I will see you soon.”
“Okay…” Aleria said, watching her leave. “I feel so nervous. I always dreamt of this day and now I feel so sick.”
“Just calm down…” Ashley said. “Everything is going to be fine. Father will be so happy for you and Itachi.”
“Really…” Alexia said, holding back tears. “I wish he was here.”
“He is, in our hearts even mom.” Ashley said, smiling. “You better not cry because you are going to ruin your makeup.”
“Ashley…”
“Yes Alexia…”
“Can you please take me?” Alexia said. “Walk me down the aisle.”
“I will be honored.” She replied, offering her hand. “Let’s go… We have a wedding to get to.” They walked with smiled on their faces. The doors opened and Neji was playing a sweet melody on the organ. “Take a deep breath…” She walked her nervous sister down the aisle. Itachi was waiting for her. His eyes couldn’t move away from her. “He is practically under your spell.”
“You know, my wedding wouldn’t be the same without any of my sisters.” Alexia whispered.
“Well, let’s just hope I get through this wedding with this dress.” Ashley said.
“But you made it.”
“It doesn’t mean I like it.” She said, giggling. Ashley let her walk up to her future brother in law and walked towards the empty seat next to Gaara. “She is so beautiful.”
“Yeah…” Gaara said, smiling. A lot of things happened in a month…
When she came back to school after the operation, everyone was thrilled for her arrival. Her eyes were not a symbol of shame for her anymore. She revealed it more often. I kind a hate it because it was only meant for me… Well, I guess sharing is caring. Anyway, she got into fights and I mean a lot of them. Her first week of school and already she has been in 20 fights and 15 trips to the Principe office. The other five well… She ran away.
“Ashley, how many times I have to see you here?” Tsunade snapped. I was outside the door, waiting for her. But I there was a glass window on the door so I can peek.
“I am so sorry Tsunade, I can’t help it. You know that my father had a bloodlust complex and I didn’t know I inherit it. However, I can control it better than him. Those boys were such bullies to me; I couldn’t defend myself without violence. I didn’t want this to happen.” She said, leaking tears. Leaking tears??? What is she doing??? “Punish me…”
“Ashley… You are making me cry….” Tsunade said, holding back tears. “Let me get some tissues.” She bent down from her neck, leaving her sight. Ashley opened the window and jumped towards the tree. She then climbed down. “Ashley, here you go…” She looked around the room; there was no sign of her. “Ashley…” She raced to the window and found her running. “ASHLEY YOU GET BACK HERE…” I was holding my laugh. She did that five times without fail. What a crazy girl…
Also, we finally went on a real date. Thank God she didn’t want to go to a fancy dinner, she just wanted to get pizza and sit at her dream place. It was like before well sort of… We had some spies…
“Shh… They can hear you.” Sasuke said, hiding in the bush with Naruto. They were watching us sitting together, eating pizza.
“I have a lot of work to do since I was absent for two weeks.” Ashley said, letting out a sigh. “How troublesome…”
“You sound like Shikamaru.” I replied.
“Well, I learned to be lazy from Shikamaru, Funny from Naruto, Happy from Chouji, and Strong from Sasuke. They taught me a lot of things.” Ashley said, smiling.
“She is going to make me cry.” Naruto whispered. I can hear him. I wondered if she could.
“Shut it…” Sasuke snapped.
“How long you guys are going to spy on us?” I said. They popped out of the bush, looking nervous.
“Naruto… Sasuke… What are you guys doing?” She asked. Seriously, she did not anything about their presence.
“Nothing…” Naruto said.
“We were just looking for Naruto’s ball. He kicked it here so we were looking for it.” Sasuke said.
“Did you guys found this ball?” I asked.
“What do you think?” Sasuke snapped. He still doesn’t trust me with her.
“You guys look hungry. We have some pizza.” She said. Great, we have company on our date. They sat beside us and grabbed some pizza. “I forgot to mention. How was the Band Slam?”
“It was fun but we didn’t win.” Naruto said, eating his pizza. “But we met your Aunty.”
“Aunty???” Ashley asked, looking dumfounded.
“Your Aunty Kitaru. She was the hostess for the Band Slam.” Sasuke said.
“Oh her… She is very nice. I have only seen her once. My father told me that the Bloodlust thing runs in the Hisatake bloodline. She also has it.” Ashley explained.
“Really, she looks sane to me.” Naruto said.
“She is but when you get on her bad side, you better run away.” She said, giggling. I was happy that she was smiling. She turned to me and grabbed my hand. I had fun with her even when her two brothers were there. Well, there were more to our relationship. We didn’t want to announce our relationship due to my rambling fan girls. But I didn’t expect this…
“Wow, you are too cute Ashley.” A boy said, sitting beside Ashley. I was also next to her, trying to hear his flirting. He grabbed her hand, smoothing it. “You also have a nice voice.” Ashley has a fan club when she came back. It was filled with Freshmen and stalkers.
“Thank you…” She said, blushing. She then turned to me. “Are you okay?”
“I feel super…” I replied sarcastically. Then the boy did something that made me tick. He was about to kiss Ashley, my girlfriend on the lips. I stood up from my seat and grabbed Ashley’s hand.”Touch her again; I will end your life.” The boy was scared. He was shivering and sweating. I turned to Ashley. “Come on…”
“Hmmm…” Ashley said, letting me pulled her away. We skipped class and I took her up the roof. “Jealous…”
“The only person that could kiss you is me.” I snapped. “And hell yeah I am jealous.” She let out a giggle. “You are enjoying this are you?”
“I find it cute.” She replied, kissing me on the cheek.
“Tomorrow, I am going to announce to the whole school that you are mine.” I said, hugging her. “You only belong to me.”
“How about the fan girls?” She asked.
“I don’t care. I will protect you.”
“I know you will.” She replied. “You always do.” Soon after, I got threatened by her fan club and Ashley was getting hit like crazy. So I make sure I have my paint ball gun with me. This whole month was an adventure and I sense there is more waiting for me.
“Gaara, is there something wrong?” Ashley asked, grabbing his hand.
“I was just thinking…” Gaara said, kissing her hand.
“Do you Alexia Hisatake take Itachi to be your husband?” Jiraiya said. “For sickness and in health…. That will never happen; you are a doctor after all. You can take care of this guy.” Alexia giggled. “To death do you part…”
“I do…”
“And do you Itachi Uchiha take Alexia to be your wife.” Jiraiya continued. “To protect and provide… What kind a scripture is this? Of course when you get married, both of you have to protect, love, and defend one another.” They both laughed. “Anyway, to death do you part…”
“I do…”
“For the power invested in me, a person that is not a real priest. I pronounced you husband and wife…” Jiraiya said. “You may kiss your lady.” They kissed and everyone cheered. Soon after, everyone head to the meadow and party. “Not bad for an old geezer.”
“You mean a pervert.” Naruto corrected.
“I am not just a pervert.” Jiraiya snapped. “I am a big one…”
“Wow that makes a huge difference.” Naruto said. Then Kitaru walked towards them. She was wearing a light violet dress that reach to her upper knee and while hair was hung down neatly. “Lady Kitaru…”
“Please call me Kitaru…” Kitaru said, giggling.
“And call me Jiraiya…” Jiraiya said, pushing Naruto away and grabbing her hand. He kissed it lightly. “You are beautiful as always Kitaru.”
“Likewise Jiraiya… It has been a long time.” She said.
“Wait, you two know each other.” Naruto asked, looking shocked. The old man pervert knows her… How???
“I asked Jiraiya to watch over my nieces while I was away.” Kitaru said. “I couldn’t stay here due to important duties so I asked him to do me a big favor.”
“Hmmm… Wait a minute… You made her work in the Toad Stool so you can watch over her.” Naruto snapped. “You tricked her.”
“Wow, I never thought you will figure that out.” Jiraiya said. “Yes, I tricked her. No one actually did take my money; I used it as an excuse to keep her working there so I can keep an eye on her.” Then Naruto kicked him in the gut.
“YOU PERVERT… YOU ARE TOTALLY GOING TO GET IT.” He screamed, torturing his Uncle. Kitaru just stood there and giggled.
That child reminds me of Kushina… This must be her little boy. Kitaru thought. She then grabbed Naruto’s hand. He turned to her. “I heard you also protect my little niece Ashley. I am very grateful.”
“Don’t mention it. Blue is my little sister.” Naruto said, scratching his head and blushing at the same time.
“I am glad she has good friends to rely on.” Kitaru said.
“Well, I am going to leave you two alone. I have a girl waiting for me. It is nice to meet you again Kitaru and Jiraiya find another girl.” Naruto said, racing away. He grabbed Hinata’s hand and pulled her to the dance floor.
“So that is your nephew, he sure has grown.” Kitaru said. Jiraiya forced himself up and dusted his clothes. “He looks so much like his father yet acts more like his mother.”
“He is the only family I got. He is a handful but very smart.” Jiraiya replied. That was a shocker… I never thought he will figure that out… “So Queen Kitalena, when are you going to tell your nieces that they are royalty?”
“When the time comes but now it doesn’t matter. They look happy just living a normal life, a life of formalities is not the life I want them to be in.” Kitaru said, staring at her nieces. “Besides, her father found happiness without a crown.” He followed his own path…
“Aaron, what are you doing?” I asked. I was only six while he was in his teens.
“Kitaru, what are you doing up?” He asked, walking towards me and pulling me into his arms. “You are supposed to be in bed.”
“I had a nightmare.” I said. I found him in normal clothing instead of the royal robe. “Cousin Aaron, where are you going?”
“Well…I…” He said, looking nervous. He then let out a smile. “I guess I can’t hide anything from you Kitaru. Kitaru, can you keep a secret?”
“Yes Aaron…” I replied. “You can tell me.”
“Alright, I am going to see a very special person in my life. I love her so much.” He said. I’ve never seen him so happy before. He was the warlord in the palace but now a man with a heart. I was so proud. “I’m sneaking out to see her because she is not a princess like you.” He tickled me and I giggled.
“Aaron… Every girl is a princess…” I said. “She must be very beautiful and nice.”
“She has long orange hair and glimmering yellow eyes.” He described. “She has the most breathtaking smile and wonderful laugh.”
“Wow, she sounds like a real princess.” I replied. “I want to meet her…”
“Well, not now. You are tired my dear little cousin.” Aaron said, rocking me back and forth.
“No… I want to meet her…” I said, letting out a yawn. I couldn’t keep my eyes wide open. “I am not tired.”
“I will take you tomorrow night.” He said.
“Promise…”
“Promise…” He said, carrying me into my room. He placed me down my bed and tucked me in. “Thank you for keeping my secret.”
“You’re welcome…” I said, falling asleep. Aaron fell in love with a commoner, a doctor. Soon after, he asked my father the right to marry her but in cost of his royal name. He married Lilith and had three beautiful daughters. He let me named them so I did: Aleria, Alexia, and Ashley.
“MOMMY… THERE YOU ARE.” A voice screamed. They turned and found Toshio. “I was looking everywhere for you.”
“Toshio, I hope it wasn’t hard to find me.” Kitaru replied, smiling. “Jiraiya, this is my son Toshiro Moon. Toshiro, this is an old friend of mine, his name is Jiraiya.”
“It’s nice to meet you.” Toshiro said. “Hey, you look familiar. Have I met you before?”
“No…” Jiraiya said, sweating. I hope he doesn’t remember.
I was spying at the hot springs. I heard a beautiful maiden will be there. So I climbed up the roof and pulled out my binoculars. There… I found Kitaru naked in the hot waters. “Kitaru… You have grown so much…” I practically had a nose bleed because of her. “This is perfect for my book.”
“HEY PERVERT…” A voice screamed. I turned and found a little boy with white shaggy hair and violet eyes. He pulled out a slingshot and started shooting me.
“HEY KID, STOP IT…” I screamed.
“OH NO THERE IS A MAN…” A woman screamed. Great… They were throwing things at me but I dodged them. Unfortunately, the kid hit me on the ass and I fell down.
“Bull’s eye…” He cheered.
I hope he doesn’t remember me.
“You look really familiar mister.” Toshio said. “Anyway, I just wanted to check up on you mom. You know that there is always going to be some guy hovering over you.”
“Toshio, it is not like I am going to ditch your father.” She said.
“You better not…” A voice said. She turned and found her husband. “You are not planning on leaving me are you?”
“Why will I do such a thing?” She said, giggling. “Zetta, you remember Jiraiya.”
“Yes, how can I forget?” He replied, staring at him. The man that had a crush on my wife…
“It is good to see you again Zetta.” Jiraiya said.
“Likewise…” Zetta said, offering his hand to his wife. “Kita, do you care to dance?”
“I will love too.” Kitaru said, letting him pulled her away. They waltz on the dance floor, holding each other close. “This is some party.”
“It is but something is troubling me.” Zetta said, staring into her ruby eyes. “You look pale Kita. Also, you have been very distracted lately. Is there something wrong?”
“Zetta…”
“Also, I smell another scent lingering around you. It’s growing stronger every day.” He said, looking worried. “Kita, are you cheating on me?”
“Zetta, I am not cheating on you.” Kitaru said, looking shocked.
“I told you that I have a very good sense of smell. Your scent is my favorite though, a pure vanilla essence. But I also smell another scent, something different from yours.” Zetta explained. “I can’t understand why.”
“Oh Zetta… I know the answer to that.” She said, giggling. She moved her lips to his ear and whispered. “I’m pregnant…” Zetta froze for a moment. “We are going to have another child Zetta.” He then smiled.
“Another child… What a blessing…” He said, hugging her. “I am sorry.”
“It’s alright… It was my fault. I wanted to tell you after the wedding but I guess your nose caught me.” She said, smiling. “Zetta, I love you. I will never cheat on you. I will only give birth to your child not any other man, just you. I love you.”
“I love you more.” He replied, kissing her forehead. “I love you, Toshiro, and our new child.”
“ANGEL EYES…ANGEL EYES… ANGEL EYES…” The people cheered.
“What is going on?” Zetta asked.
“Everyone is calling for my niece.” She said.
“Alright…” Ashley said, walking up on stage. “Who wants me to sing?” Everyone started to cheer. Kakuza walked up the stage and pulled out a banjo. “Well, this song is going out to all the lovebirds out there.” She walked to the microphone while Kakuza added a banjo. Deidara added the drums. “You’re on the phone with your girlfriend, she’s upset. She’s going off about something that you said. She doesn’t get your humor like I do. I’m in the room; it’s a typical Tuesday night. I listening to the kind of music she doesn’t like. She’ll never know your story like I do.” She pulled out the microphone from the stand and walked to the right side of the stage. “She wears short skirts, I wear T-shirts. She’s cheer captain and I’m on the bleachers, dreaming about the day when you wake up and find that what you’re looking for is here the whole time. If you can see that I’m the one who understands you. I’ve been here all along so why can’t you see… you belong with me… you belong with me…”
“GO ANGEL EYES…” They cheered.
“Walk in the streets with you and your wore-out jeans. I can’t help thinking that this is how it ought to be. Laughing on a park bench, thinking to myself… Hey, isn’t this easy. ” Ashley sang, staring at Gaara. She smiled at him. “And you got a smile that can light up this whole town. I haven’t seen it in awhile since she brought you down. You said you’re fine. I know you better than that. What are you doing with a girl like that?” She then walked to the left side. “She wears high heels, I wear sneakers. She’s cheer captain and I’m on the bleachers, dreaming about the day when you wake up and find that what you’re looking for is here the whole time. If you can see that I’m the one who understands you. I’ve been here all along so why can’t you see… you belong with me… you belong with me… Standing by, waiting at your back door. All this time, how come you can’t know baby? You belong me… you belong with me…” Hidan added his electric guitar and started doing a solo while everyone clapped. Ashley jumped up and down while clapping her hands too.
“She has a beautiful voice.” Sasuke said, standing beside Gaara.
“Yeah…” He replied, staring at her. “So you still don’t trust me with her?”
“I do now… I know that you will take care of her.” Sasuke said. Gaara turned to him and smiled. “If you break her heart, I am going to kill you.”
“I won’t let that happen.”
“Oh…. I remember that you drive up to my house in the middle of the night. I’m the one who makes you laugh when you’re about to cry. I know your favorite song and you tell me about your dreams. Think I know where you belong, I think I know it’s with me…” She sang, walking down stage and towards Gaara. “Can you see that I’m the one who understand you? Here you are all alone so why can’t you see, you belong with me?” Gaara walked towards her. “Standing by, waiting at your back door… All this time, how could you can’t you know baby? You belong me… you belong with me… you belong with me…” He grabbed her hand. “Have you ever thought just maybe you belong with me? You belong with me…” Everybody cheered. He cupped her face and kissed her forehead.
“Hey mister, have you seen a lazy guy around.” A little girl asked. She had long blonde hair and green emerald eyes. She was wearing a lime green flower girl dress.
“No…” Shikamaru replied. “Have you seen a teenage girl with four ponytails?”
“No…” She said, letting out a sigh.
“How troublesome…” They both said. They paused and turned to each other. “Did you just say what I said?”
“Kid, what is your name?” Shikamaru asked.
“Oh… My name is Nova Hisatake. Ashley is my cousin.” She replied. “I am looking for my old man. My mom is not happy that he just left without telling her. She can be very troublesome.” She let a sigh. “So what is your name?”
“My name is Shikamaru Nara, I am Ashley’s friend.” He replied. She sounds like me… I wonder who the father is. “I guess I can help you find your old man.”
“NOVA, I FOUND DADDY.” A boy said, racing towards him while pulling a man. He looked just like Nova but he had spiky raven black hair and violet eyes. “He was sleeping under the old oak tree over there.”
“Nova, what are you doing here?” A man said, walking towards them. He had long raven hair and green eyes.
“I was looking for you.” She replied, letting out a sigh. “Mom is not happy.”
“Nova who is this?” The boy asked.
“Noah, this is Ashley’s friend Shikamaru.” Nova said. “Shikamaru, this is my twin brother Noah and my old man Kaze.”
“It is nice to meet you boy.” Kaze said. “Ashley told me a lot about you. She said that I remind me of you because we are both lazy.”
“Well, this party is very troublesome.” Shikamaru said.
“KAZE, I AM GOING TO KILL YOU.” A voice screamed. They turned and found a beautiful woman in a red dress. Her long blonde hair was pinned up into two pigtails shaped like crescents.
“Luna…” Kaze said. Oh shit… “See you later kid… My troublesome woman is going to kill me.” He raced away and his wife raced after him.
“YOU ARE GOING TO GET IT KAZE…” Luna screamed.
“Nova, should we help dad?” Noah asked. Shikamaru and Nova exchanged glances.
“Nah… too troublesome…” They both said, watching them chase around the meadow.
Naruto went to get some drinks for him and Hinata but he bumped into a little girl. She collapsed to the ground. She had long violet hair and red ruby eyes and was wearing a lime green flower girl dress. “Are you okay?”
“Yes….I am fine…” She said shyly. “I am sorry…”
“It’s my fault. My name is Naruto. What’s your name? Here, let me help you.” Naruto asked, helping her up. “Are you hurt?”
“No… I am fine… My name is Kida…” She said.
“Nice name…” Naruto said, smiling.
“KIDA, IS THAT KID BOTHERING YOU…” A voice screamed. They turned and found a man with spiky long red hair and red eyes.
“Daddy…” Kida said. Oh no…
“What have you done to my daughter?” The man screamed.
“Daddy…”
“I haven’t done anything.” Naruto screamed back. “I just bumped into her.”
“Daddy…”
“Oh, is that the new code?” He screamed. “I am going to beat the shit out of you for harming my daughter.”
“Daddy…”
“Bring it on… I can take you.” Naruto snapped. “I am not going to lose from you old man.”
“Daddy…”
“Who are you calling old man, pervert?” The man snapped.
“Daddy…”
“Who are you calling pervert, old man?” Naruto snapped. They were glaring at each other and their fists were gripping tightly.
“DADDY…”
“WHAT…” They both screamed, turning their gaze to Kida.
“Daddy, he didn’t do anything wrong.” Kida said shyly. “It was my fault for not looking. I bumped into him. Please don’t hurt him.”
“Are you sure that he didn’t touch you?” Kyo said, hugging his daughter.
“Yes daddy…”
“Kyo, you should be nice.” A voice said. They turned and found a beautiful woman with short violet hair and pink eyes. “You promised me that you won’t pick a fight with anyone today.”
“But he was messing with Kida.” Kyo replied.
“She just said that he didn’t do anything.” The woman said. She then turned to Naruto. “I am sorry for my husband’s behavior. My name is Naomi Hisatake his wife. The man you are about to fight with is Kyo. Please forgive him.”
“My name is Naruto…”
“Oh, you are one of Ashley’s friends.” Kyo said.
“Yeah…”
“So are you still up to the challenge?” Kyo teased. “My wife is not going to bail you out this time.”
“If you want old man…” Naruto teased. “I don’t want you to get more wrinkles.”
“Mommy, are they going to be okay?” Kida asked.
“Yes…” Naomi said.
“May I have this dance Mrs. Uchiha?” Itachi asked, offering her his hand.
“Of course Mr. Uchiha…” She replied. They danced on the dance floor with everyone else. “I love you Itachi…”
“I love you too.” Itachi replied, kissing his wife once more.
“So are we going to tell them?” Aleria asked, dancing with Sasori.
“Maybe later… I am busy dancing with you…” Sasori teased, pulling her closer.
“You suck at flirting.” Aleria teased. Sasori just smiled. “I guess you are right. We should tell them later. It’s going to be us next time.”
“I can’t wait for that day.” Sasori said, kissing her.
“Troublesome…” Nova said.
“This party is not all that bad.” Shikamaru replied.
“I guess you are right.” She said, looking at everyone. “They are having fun.” She then caught a glimpse of something. “Oh man, is that my Uncle Kyo? And who is the blonde kid? Why are they wrestling on the ground?”
“Hey, it’s Naruto…” Shikamaru said. “What is he doing fighting the red head?”
“Nova, should we stop them? Aunty Naomi seems distress and Kida looks nervous.” Noah pointed out.
“First mom and dad and now this guy…. What a drag.” Nova said, letting out a sigh. Then she spotted Toshio. Perfect… “Toshio…”
“Nova… Noah… Is there something wrong?” He asked, walking towards them.
“Uncle Kyo is fighting again with another kid. Can you stop them for me?” She asked. “I am not in the mood.”
“When are you in a mood?” Toshio said sarcastically. He pulled out his slingshot. “Fine, I will stop them…” He started to shot marble at them.
“HEY, STOP IT TOSHIO.” Kyo screamed. “LISTEN TO YOUR UNCLE.”
“HEY WHITEY, STOP IT.” Naruto screamed. Toshio gripped his fist.
“Oh no…” Noah said.
“Now he had done it.” Nova added.
“Hmmm…” Shikamaru said. Toshio rapidly shot marbles at them like he has a machine gun. Wow… He has good aim.
“TOSHIO, CUT IT OUT.” They both screamed.
“Toshio hates it when people call him whitey or any nickname that involves his white hair.” Noah said. “So don’t even dare tease him or you are going to be like those two.”
“Good to know.” Shikamaru said. Ashley has one crazy family.
“Toshio, that is not very nice.” Kida said.
“Well, they deserve it.” Toshio said.
“Are we going to stop our son?” Kitaru asked, still dancing with her husband.
“No, he will be fine.” Zetta said. “He is strong.”
“I know…” Kitaru said, giggling. “He is stubborn too just like his father.”
“What is that suppose to mean?” Zetta asked. She giggled even more.
The party continued into the night, everyone hung colorful lanterns. Ashley was sitting up on the cliff, watching everyone having fun. This is the life I have always wanted. She caught Aleria and Sasori dancing and Alexia and Itachi kissing. I am happy that they are happy…
“So are you going to sit here the whole night?” Gaara asked, walking towards her with a lantern.
“It’s very peaceful here and it has a nice view.” She said. He sat next to her. “It makes me feel happy to be alive.” She kept her gaze towards the party.
“I am happy too you know.” Gaara replied.
“I know… You did promise me that I will stay alive.” She said, turning to him and smiled. “I am so happy that you did. I will miss a lot of things. Alexia’s wedding, our first date, my first writing competition, and well everything.”
“You know, Alexia is the one that saved you.” Gaara said. “She was your doctor.”
“Of course she was but you saved me Gaara. You made my days happy. You always make me happy.” She replied. “Also, you saved me from being shot so I am grateful. You are my hero Gaara.”
“I guess I did save you.” He said, blushing. She placed her head on his shoulder. “Ashley, I have something for you.” He pulled something out from coat. It was a white box with a pretty red bow. “A gift…”
“But it’s not my birthday.” She replied.
“I can give you a gift anytime I want.” Gaara said, giving it to her. “Besides, I’ve never gave you anything. This is the first gift I have ever given you so be grateful.”
“Oh…” She said, opening it. He is such an idiot. He gave me something that I will cherish greatly. It was a golden chain with a pendent. It was some sort of locket. Wow, it’s looks so… “It’s beautiful.”
“It is a special locket.” Gaara said. “I have been working on it for a while. This is one of my talents.” He opened the locket and sand appeared and created a heart. “You are crazy over rain but I really like sand. It reminds me of home.”
“Sand…” Ashley said, looking amazed. It looks so beautiful. It looks like gold. “It’s so neat Gaara. I love it. I can’t believe you made this.”
“It’s used to belong to my mom. I made some adjustments.” Gaara said, helping her put it on. “It is a precious treasure I kept for years. It is the only thing I have of my mother’s.” He closed the pendent and kissed it lightly. “It will protect you when I am not around.” She started giggling. “What’s so funny?”
“That’s sounds familiar.” She said.
“A smart girl told me.” Gaara said, cupping her face.
“She must be very smart.” She teased. This is the life I was meant to have… “You should thank her for her wisdom.”
“I plan to.” He replied, bending down to kiss her. “Ashley, I am glad I saved you.”
“I am glad you did too.” She replied, kissing him passionately. She pulled back and giggled some more. “Sand…”
“What about it?” Gaara asked.
“I love rain and rain is water. Water flows through anything easily and never stops. Sand stays in one place, shimmering like gold in the sun. It’s rough yet beautiful.” She explained, smiling. “Once you put the two together, the sand becomes soft yet strong as the water sunk into it. Water finally found somewhere to belong. It fits us doesn’t it?” Gaara just smiled. Then suddenly, it started to rain. She swiftly stood up. “IT’S RAINING…” He scooped her up and spun her around, getting soaked. This is what I call a happy ending.
