ya bro i always said bleach is a very dark manga/anime, but its amazing in its own way, not gona spoil it for you but you will find some kind of realistic non heroic moments in it witch are cool

If you just started Bleach then I recommend you get to at least episode ~17 (assuming you're watching it). It gets really really good around there cause that's where the first major arc kicks in.
