currently at episode 272, ichigo defeated ulquiorra. bleach has great fights but holy shit, the asspulls are worse then naruto. Ichigo getting a random power-up as usual. then there is orihime, god she's annoying, if i would get 1 dollar for each time she said 'kurosaki kun' i'd be a millionaire. she reminds me of lucy and hinata, annoying and useless.
i'd rate it a 6.5/7 out of 10.

Also, does orihme die in the manga or something?

That part in the anime/manga is the best in the entire series, so enjoy it. Imo, nothing rivals the Espada's arc regardless of the extreme varieties of asspulls in that arc.
