Shunsui's bankai was certainly not what I expected. I was betting it to be some more children's games but with a darker and more serious side effects, hence the need to keep it out of the range of allies. Did not expect the battle to turn around so fast either, I'm really hoping we get to see more of his bankai.

Kyorakus bankai is badass to me because it is so different and seems to be a bankai focused on attrition which makes it perfect for soloing people. My only concern with it is that I am not sure how he would manage to take out aizen with it if the third stage is based on a dual reiatsu draining principle.

Lol forget aizen. Imagine zaraki! No one has more reiatsu than zaraki

I got part of it right yesterday. His bankai has 3 parts to it, just like there are 3 parts to the play these chapters are named after. Man, to think they could feel his bankai that far away!

This chapter is finally going off like a C4. Shunsui's Bankai stages were pretty interesting and it could highlight more about his past. There was also a "fight" between Naak and Grimmjow, which I have no idea how it went down. Shunsui's illusion and chills being spreaded across Vandenreich wasn't really surprising. He always had that vibe hidden within him.

Grimmjow was poisoned, it was in the manga, it showed everything.

I can see Bankai Shunsui threatening Shikai Aizen and Bankai Yamamoto by the end of the fight.

That's a pretty dope bankai. So is the damage Shunsui took before he activated his bankai being transferred to the quincy? Or are those holes from the attack made after he went bankai?

Cus the holes look to be in the exact same positions on the quincy as they are on Shunsui.

Anyways, pretty cool bankai imo. The last 5 chapters have all been really good. Shunsui is an awesome character.

Shunsui's bankai is pretty damned terrifying, from innocent children's games turning into reality. To quite basically nightmare's becoming real, and the fact that it has such a large area of effect, to the point that it seemed as though Ichigo and his group got caught in it, though it just might be they are on the very border of it, and still feeling the "chills" of his bankai.

I saw a few posts earlier saying its like children's horror stories being real, but to me it seems more along the lines of Nightmare's becoming real.

Let's see. Assuming that Katen Kyokotsu's spirit is indeed two entities (a girl and a woman), it makes sense that the girl is the shikai with the power of games, while the woman is the bankai with the power of theatrical plays. I wonder if Shunsui has an ultimate attack where he combines the two. Knowing Kubo and his weird understanding of awesomeness, probably not.
