Wait, so let me get this straight.

-Yama has the ultimate offense - a sword with the compressed destructive force of all his flames
-Yama has the ultimate defense - an armor of flame that's as hot as (if not hotter than) the sun which makes it impossible to get near him

Is he really this crazy?
Well, like Ukitake said...there isn't a shinigami that is stronger than Yamamoto (not counting Ichigo who had lost his powers at that time). Yamamoto was the one Aizen feared remember? He had to seal his flames and even with him down he wanted to kill him.

Yamamoto has lived so much that he probably has perfect sync with his sword like Ichigo, not counting the endless years of trainning.

But Juha would not go through with this War without a plan...major ace in the card is coming right when Yamamoto seems to give him the finishing move.

This arc is going quite fast. I mean by now 7 Sternritters should have kicked the bucket and old and Yama went bankai, but as I recall Kubo said that this was supposed to be a major arc.
You are right about it being a fast paced arc, but I'm thinking that maybe Ishida Uryuu and his Dad may have some part to play soon. Remember back in Hueco Mundo how when Ichigo commented about Ishida that the Sternritter said Ishida should have been easily able to over power Ichigo. I can't quite remember the chapter and I may be remembering wrong, but it's just a theory.

Yeah you got the words mixed up a little there, Ichigo said to Kirge that Ishida's attacks are more powerful than Kirge's.

Ishida is still using the old method in Quincy abilities and can't use that ability to make his strength stronger or his speed...yet.

Also that's what I mean about Juha defeating Yamma it's a perfect chance to allow new characters to be shown Zero squad etc plus they still have to go to this Ice palace place so the arc will last a little longer.

You forgot an extra zero there xd on manga stream it was translated to 15 million degrees.....I think that is actually hotter than the sun xd.....actually its about 5 million degrees hotter than the surface but 12 million cooler than the core xd but still HOT DAMN xd I am surprised if anyone keeps fighting while Yama-jii is using Bankai xd talk about instant heat strokes lol

Actually after seeing his bankai abilities dude, I think Buckbeard is going to make a tactical retreat, and regather his forces because even by his expressions Buckbeard has ****ed up somewhere in his plans lol. Especially after seeing half his sword instantly vaporize lol.

Also that would make this arc last much longer (keeping Kubo true to his word of this war lasting at least 2-5 years)
Actually 15 million degrees celsius IS the same temperature as the center as the sun.

Japan goes by celsius, so it would make sense that the translation made it 15 million degrees celsius.

Celsius is way better than Fahrenheit anyways.

Kubo confirmed this Arc to go for around 5 years.
Well yeah I know, that's the point. Well I didn't know he placed a specific number on it, though it was supposed to be an arc similar in length to the Arrancar & Aizen arc. Which making it very weird that around half of the elite fighters of the Quincy's have died and the old man is now going bankai against their leader =/

That is why I think there may be a tactical retreat in the up coming chapters, thus having SS team with the remaining (non captain) Vizards, and the remaining Arrancar and invade the Vandenreich head quarters, where they will reveal more powerful opponents, hell we haven't seen much as it is out of those guys who have invaded other than stealing bankai's and using them against the captain's

A tactical retreat would def. lengthen this arc

inb4 yama bankai gets stolen as well
Well thats the thing Tobi, if his Bankai would have been stolen, don't you think they would have tried to do so immediately (as they did so with the other Captains and the two times they tried to do so with Kurosaki)

the two reasons i can think are
1. For dramatic effect, imagine how many pissed off fans there would be if Yama's bankai got stolen before he ever got to use it

2. maybe there is some kind of reiatsu restraint, which would make sense. with all the bankai stolen so far there hasn't been much a gap in power between the quincy and shinigami

Some of you are saying you can't wait to see Yama's north and south to his bankai, and I'm pretty sure there is no north or south to his powers.
Think about it. His power is fire. His east and west is in reference to where the sun rises and sets. East and west.
If I'm wrong and there is a north and south then I will return to admit I'm wrong, but my flawless logic tells me I won't be wrong.
Great chapter by the way!
Then Toshiro should have a north and south.
