was wondering.. what if that sword was that of a Vasto Lorde!! have not heard of them from quite long.. Ok I will not argue about whether the arancar were vasto lorde or not. but would really like to see them in battle..

Also it actually looks like Gin's Zanpakuto and he was never completely confirmed dead it was just... heavily implied. Loads of characters have been cut down/obliterated only to return.But anyway Byauya's Bankai has been sealed but can't he still use his Shikai? or is he locked in his Bankai as long as it's been stolen?
He's not going to be dead though, as a few have said it's incredibly likely it's just the troll-image-Shunpo.

I don't think any of the Captains can use any zanpaktou related abilities once they get their Bankai stolen. It seems that the Sternritters don't simply steal the Bankais but also the spirit of the zanpaktous as well. Hitsugaya was seen crying out for Hyorinmaru which implies that he lost the ability to communicate with his zanpaktou entirely.He lied

i agree i dont think they're stealing just the bankai but the zanpaktou as a whole,i think ichigo cant lose his because his he is one with his sword now from when he used the final getsuga tensho,and you cant seal a soul. just a thought though.

sorry to contrdict you, but every one fears something kenpachi is the same he would probably be afraid for yachiru. and even if hes not as stated in the chapter nodt doesnt rely upon "rational fear" he/she relies upon the instinct of fear and no one can stop their instincts. infact kenpachi might be affected even more greatly than byakuya because hes not as smart as byakuya meaning that he will have a harder time rationalizing the fear (the irrationality was stated by nodt himself to be scariest part of the fear) by thinking it through and calming himself down.

Gin's dead face it, even if he was still alive do you think soul society and the captains would let him roam free no he's killed innocent people for well over 100 years ruined lives so why would they allow him out if anything he'd be locked up with AizenHe lied

Hiyori got birficated and she survived?
And maybe they thought he was dead too, the look on Urahara's face didn't say to me "Hey Gin you live!!! come back to SS we've all forgiven you!" it more looked like "Your alive? ****"
You do realize Hiyori only survived because she was healed immediately whie Gin was left there lying on the ground dead also why would SS let him run loose when they could would capture him just except it Gin is dead.
It is most likely Grimmjow or Nel.

Nobody in the entire series has died from wounds similar to what Gin suffered, no one of any importance anyway. And re-read my post -_- SS wouldn't 'let him run loose' they would also think he is dead...
And Grimmjow is a good option, I doubt it is Nel though...besides not making Urahara worry that much when he see's her it would be a major flop in my oppinion if it was Nel.
And I emphasize the MY OPPINION part..so don't get your panties in a twist because I want it to be Gin.
Edit: oh and besides, they had Uber Aizen to deal with they wouldn't really focus on Gin while was stricken down when you have a Demi-god in your face.
