Discussing 459:
Kubo's point in making a time skip was to be able to make all the characters different. He had to change Rukia just for the sake of making the audience realize just how long it was (from Ichigo's perspective). Also, she needed a haircut, and the gloves are standard Kuchiki. Byakuya and his grandpa had them. Her being a vice cap'n probably means the 13 squads got their crap together and reorganized.
Secondly, Ichigo. Does no one remember how Ginjou just TOOK ICHIGO'S FULLBRING?!?! How can he possibly have this new "Shinigami/ fullbring hybrid power", If he no longer has a fullbring?!?!? Goodness gracious!! Plus, the new look is like saying, "Check me out. I'm back and better than ever." It's basically like the power he was given by Rukia was better than the first time.
Third, Isshin and Urahara. Let it be clearly noted that Rukia's sword was in fact sheathed. The white "sword" she stabbed Ichigo with could have been some Reishi transfer tool developed by Uruhara that would allow Rukia to give Ichigo her powers like in the beginning, but without the risk of her losing all of them. That would seem to be the only reason for Uruhara and Isshin to have involvement. Rukia could have done that on her own if it wasn't necessary for help from Uruhara.
Lastly, Ginjou, Ichigo's friends, etc.. Ginjou now has both Ichigo's fullbring and Tsukishima. Now Ichigo may have the benefit of his dad, Uruhara, and Rukia, but they'll be pretty busy with the other fullbringers. Ichigo's other friends/sisters will be in the way mostly.

i think the reason his soul reaper powers and fullbring were able to fuse is because like when ichigo lost his soul reaper powers a fragment stayed with him, so its safe to assume a fragment of his fullbring stayed with him and fused with his soul reaper power when Rukia stabbed with him the sword they created

Hmmm I think (THINK NOT SURE !!) that the mysterious white sword is Isshin's zanpakutou.And the "Are you sure thing" is probably "Are you sure you want to transfer ur powers".Ohh and you should ask "Then why should they work on this sword when Isshin can simply do it himself right away" Well MAYBE they were trying to make it possible for RUKIA to do it. WTH :lili:

Weeel well...Rukia is a vice-captain,that´s for sure. I´m curious about her new powers. Even if Ichigo gained back his shinigami powers,partly his fullbring will ´pump up´ a bit his Getsuga tenshou. But because everyone around our sane quartet is under Tsukishima´s powers,they will probably just fight their way out and try to get to safety for a while,where they´ll whether explain Ichigo their plans or come up with a plan. But there is a possibility,that other shinigamis came along with Rukia to save the very unpleasant situation so they´d be in equal numbers and the fighting may start.

Hell YEA!! sooo happy! and ichigo looks awesome! totally badass! and rukia is sooo cute! :/ she looks like a kid tho, for a second i thought she was that kid Hanataro or something....awks... anyways, The story is seriously getting interesting, i didnt really like the whole fullbring thing i thought it lost its meaning about shinigami and all that... But its getting more cool now coz he got his powers back and bcoz rukia appeared!!

Predicting 460:
In my knowledge there has never been mention of Isshin's Zanpakuto. He must have had one to be a captain. When he used the final Getsuga in the past, Then regained his powers recently, did he get his Zanpakuto back? If not, then there's no rational reason Ichigo should get his back. Vice versa.

Is Rukia, in giving Ichigo shinigami powers, going to lose her's like in the beginning? Or was the "white sword" an Uruhara developed tool embedded with Isshin's Reiatsu?

Isshin's zanpakuto has been mentioned: It's name is Engetsu (see magic training at the end of Butterflaizen arc). It's probably very similar to Zangetsu.

Also keep in mind: Isshin got his own powers back after using the final Getsuga Tensho. It's implied (and possibly outright stated when Isshin kills Grand Fisher Arrancar, can't remember), that Urahara got him his powers back. So it makes sense that w/e method he used to get Isshin's powers back would work on Ichigo.

My guess is that white ether-ish blade (maybe composed of scattered fragments of Ichigo's reiatsu, but that's just me BSing) is how Isshin got his powers back. Rukia using it was for dramatic effect, and possibly because it requires a Shinigami with his/her powers active (so Urahara could've done it, but again, dramatic effect). Rukia may(?) have been reassigned to Karakura town again, but that's speculation.

As for Ichigo being dead (someone posted that theory)........it would've been dealt with more, and isn't consistent with Isshin's powers coming back and him being alive. Also, if the first 200 stabs to the heart didn't kill him, I think he can survive this one.

EDIT: I also agree with whoever said he has his post-dangai power level. Zangetsu now has that strand of broken chain on the hilt, instead of the long cloth wrap it had originally.

Also, I doubt he'll be able to hollow-ify now. During the Dangai training, Tensa Zangetsu-guy and Hollow Ichigo appeared fused. I think the implication is that they were connected, to the point that if one was destroyed, the other was too. Since he didn't die again, I don't think the Hollow part will return.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but waaaaaaaaaay back in the series, I remember Urahara and Isshin having a conversation about Isshin being rusty and have very little of his shinigami powers left due to being not in his shinigami form for so long? From this I'm implying that he's using a gigai (ever since he was "killed" in order to get his shinigami powers back - assuming the same goes for ichigo in this episode)...which drains the user of spiritual power gradually (again, correct me if I'm wrong)...hence, the Ichigo-death theory could be plausible

Ok, that's what it was. So it's possible that he's dead, but I don't think they would've forced death on him. Kubo Tite is a good enough writer that he would've made it a big "oh s***" decision about regaining his powers.

One other interesting thought: I don't think it's been explicitly stated whether the rest of Xcution is, like Ginjou, evil but either cut by Tsukishima or pretending to be good. Certainly it appeared that they fought Ginjou all out before he regained his memories, but we can't be sure.

Note: In case anyone cares, Engetsu means "Sharpened Fang".

I don't think I'm right but I don't want to spoil anything for anyone, these are just my humble thoughts but, fair warning READ AT YOUR OWN RISK POSSIBLE SPOILER (Not to sound conceited ^_^')

So a few things I want to get out the way:
1. I don't think Ichigo's new uniform signifies that his shinigami powers and fullbring have fused. If you did not notice in chapter 459, Ginjo ripped out his fullbring and Ichigo could not see Rukia.
2. The reason why Urahara stated that by giving Ichigo back his shinigami powers he would be taking Ichigo's future away. I believe what Urahara meant was that Isshin would be taking away Ichigo's future as a human. Being stabbed by the glowing sword took Ichigo's future away as a human because it made him into a shinigami. Post final getsuga Ichigo has no shinigami powers making him a normal human and remember all humans have the capability of becoming a hollow so even with his inner hollow he is still human and his hollow powers cannot be accessed. It is yet to be observed if Ichigo's physical body is left behind but if there is no body left behind then Ichigo is a true shinigami
3. Since Ichigo is a true shinigami it's plausible he will have post Dangai training powers. The form in 459 is just his shikai.

Remember that Ichigo's hollow powers have no relation to being human or shinigami. It was born when Ichigo almost became a hollow while trying to awaken his shinigami powers during the Shattered Shaft training. Since using final getsuga results in a loss of shinigami powers, Hollow Ichigo shouldn't be affected. Fullbring is closely related to Hollows, so if Ichigo could fullbring then he must have his hollow powers.

Now the appearance of Ichigo's new shikai uniform has some noticeable differences compared to his previous shikai uniform. To explain the reason for this I will explain the Shinigami Representative Badge. The Afro Shinigami stated that he's never seen the badge before. I believe the badge truly represents Vizards and it is only given to shinigami/ human hybrid, who are capable of possessing Hollow powers. Note that Shinji and the others became Vizards through Aizen's infection 100 years before the actual series and they were banished before they actually got control of their Vizard powers. Now the reason I believe the badge represents Vizards is because of it's symbol, a hollow mask and an X. The hollow skull is to represent hollow powers and the X is to represent shinigami powers. Recall that when Ichigo first activated his complete fullbring and the badge turned into a sword, the mask disappeared and the X remained. Fullbring is closely related to Hollows and the reason why the mask disappears is because Ichigo's hollow powers (his fullbring) are active. The X appears on Ichigo's new uniform on his arms and collarbone. So If the badge actually represents Vizards, Ichigo always had his hollow powers and Rukia just restored his shinigami, then Ichigo's new uniform is a Vizard Uniform. At the end of 459 only Ichigo's shikai is activated and the X (which represents shinigamis) is present meaning Ichigo is only using shinigami powers. Once he goes into bankai and activates his hollow mask, the symbol of the Vizard badge is complete.

Recall Ginjo has a badge exactly like Ichigo's and he stated it was from the shinigami/human hybrid that they killed, meaning that the Soul Society has had Vizards before Ichigo and they designed a uniform and badge to represent them.

Sorry for the super long post, I've been really bored with Bleach lately but these last few chapters have been intense. I just remembered a lot of miscellaneous things Tite just likes to put in his chapters and threw them together.

So I guess isshin/urahara knew that Ichigo needed his powers back. And found their own way to reawaken them.

Seems as though it's a new shinigami-fullbring hybrid clothes he's wearing, which looks awesome. It's also nice to see the old zangetsu back finally, that sword is awesome.

He bouta rap xcution and i hope that he gets his powers back from ginjou O.O Omg i wonder just how strong he would be after that?

Goodbye Fullbringers, hello Shinigami. Can't wait for Ichigo to rip Ginjou and Tsukishima a new one (knowing Kubo, however, it may take longer than we think).

Anyone notice the title "Death and The Strawberry 2". A reference to the very first chapter of Bleach and how Ichig regained his powers in a similar way. Plus, it's Bleach's 10 Year Anniversary.

I don't think Ichigo's Fullbring powers have merged with his Shinigami powers so much as he's reverted back to a similar level of power he was at when he defeated Aizen (once he had mastered Jinzen and his zanpakuto in Bankai changed a bit. I believe this is simply the Shikai version of Ichigo after mastering Jinzen). Though, he retains his fullbring collar, so he must have some of its powers.



I like Rukia's new look. I doubt she's learned bankai, though. It's been only 17 months, and Bankai is something that usually takes at least 10 years of training to achieve.

Yea I think that thats how ichigo looks after his mastery of jinzen............ if not then WTF IS GOING ON!!! LOL

I hope that ichigo is as strong and heartless as he was when he fought aizen............... it would suck if he had to go through training again to get there.

First: Shinigami + Human =/= Vizard. That whole bit about the substitute shinigami badge actually being for Vizards has zero basis. There is no mention that the badge is for Vizards, nor that the first Shinigami Xcution approached was a Vizard.

Anyway, this is little more than speculation on your part. It is perfectly reasonable that Ichigo's Shinigami powers are/were tied directly to his hollow form, as his hollow side manifested as a direct result of him trying to unlock his own shinigami powers, as opposed to Rukia's borrowed ones. In fact, you pretty much proved my point by saying they ARE his power; not powers, but a singular power.

There is zero reason to believe that he could use his hollow powers once he gained fullbring. He never displays this, it is never so much as mentioned, and it's an important enough revelation that it would've been touched upon. The only reason Hollows and Fullbring are linked is that Hollows have attacked Fullbring users' parent(s) before their birth (in Ichigo's case this makes sense because his dad was/is a shinigami). The Hollow form came about as a result of his own "death" and the chain of fate corroding.

Getting off topic for a bit, the broken chain on Tensa Zangetsu (and now Zangetsu as well) seems to be a play on the chain of fate ichigo lost most of during the Shattered Shaft incident.

IF he gets his hollow powers back, which I somewhat doubt, it will be a result of his shingami powers returning.
