so i think its time for me to start watching a new anime.. i like the long-shonen mangas like naruto and OP and i was thinking about Bleach (there must be a reason that its so popular).. I like naruto and one piece (these are my standard likes) so i need someone with a mature point of view to tell me if it is worth it to watch or should i go for another? also, is bleach realy on the level of naruto-Op ? or even better? i mean the quality of the fights, plot, character development, pros, cons etc... thank you in advance..

yeah I enjoyed it, though there are a lot of filler episodes like Naruto. Watching the series from the start will be tricky, since you're gonna have to differentiate which episodes are canon and which ones are filler. It's a good anime imho. if you're lookin for other new manga/anime as well, definitely check out Gantz.

it is if you like Naruto then you will like bleach

it has great action and some of the best characters in anime, epic moments happen all the time there and there is of course the fan service of orihime but thats another story...
i recommend you skip the fillers though because they ruin the story

You should really watch deathnote and dragonbAllz
But bleach is also a very good anime with incredible awesome fights
i have watch deathnote.. as for dbz.. is there any animefan who havent watch dbz??? personaly i have been rewatching dbz like 5 times since i was a kid :p
if a fan of deathnote and dbz says that bleach is also good then its fine with me i guess..

In my opinion Bleach is very much a mixed bag. I only read the manga so I can't say anything about the filler but here's what I'd say:

Bleach at its best is pretty fantastic, I must admit. The beginning of Bleach is done pretty well and everything up to Soul Society is very enjoyable, with some really good fights in terms of action Shounen battles. The fact that it mixes in said action with good plot twists and great character development is really quite something. Unfortunately, Bleach goes down the craphole for a very long time after that. With a few exceptions, everything from the beginning of the Arrancar arc to the end of the Fullbring arc is pretty bad. The quality goes from meh to downright awful depending on the situation. The plot becomes almost nonexistent, character development is so poor that most of it feels contrived as a way to make you feel bad for otherwise boring characters, and it becomes the tale of awful godmodding and pointless powerups that only end up being around for a few chapters before becoming utterly useless. With the Thousand Year Blood War arc, Bleach does get better once again. Plot developments that have been waiting for a long time and character development that had been thrown to the side in favor of trolling are at last around again, making things a bit more enjoyable. Power levels are still a bit inconsistent though and this does mean that Bleach might get some problems with consistency later on, but that still remains to be seen.

Long story short, Bleach starts off well and gets better again near the end. But the middle is terrible and among the most atrocious of action Shounen stories I've ever come across. Don't get your hopes up for the middle, if you're expecting everything to be Soul Society arc level, better make sure to prepare yourself ahead of time because a lot of what comes after is terribly underwhelming.

thanks for your time dude i really appreciate it.. Its safe to say that prety much all the long-story-shonen-anime-mangas have the good and the shit parts.. naruto and OP (which are among the "the big three") have a lot of bad-low quality arcs but i still love them...
Anyway thanks again.

I'll say that Bleach at its best can no doubt compete with Naruto and One Piece. But when Bleach is at its worst, it's of lower quality than Naruto or One Piece have ever been at their worst, so if you do read/watch it then just be prepared. The quality is really inconsistent and you can never be sure when you'll love Bleach and when you hate it. And Bleach at its worst tends to be really frustrating so don't be too surprised by that.
