The fighting has finally stopped in Bleach because Aizen and Gin left for Soul Society, leaving Ichigo and Isshin alone and alive. The father and son team decided to go on the attack, and pursue them into Soul Society. Once in the Precipice World, they soon realize that it’s guardian is gone, which means that this will be the perfect place to train.

the Good
Even though it was hinted during the last chapter, it appears as if the next section in Bleach’s storyline is going to be a training arc, which is a nice change of pace considering all the fighting that went down during the last 50 or so chapters. With the Koutotsu gone, the Precipice World is a wonderful place to train. Much like the Room of Space and Time in Dragon Ball Z, time in the Precipice World travels slower than in real life. Isshin has the ability to stop the dangerous current, but he can only do it for 2,000 hours, which only add up to about an hour in the real world.

Here Ichigo must talk to his sword and be able to call out the final form of the Getsuga Tenshou, which is called jizen. And in order for Ichigo to do this, he must fight Zangetsu, who apparently is going to go hog wild.

The Bad
We are also introduced to Ichigo’s friends from home once again, who only come into play every 100 chapters or so. I’m not upset that we get to see them again, I just wish Kubo would do something more with them, that’s all.

Overall, this was not a bad chapter, but it felt relatively short. Even though I know this new Getsuga Tenshou is just going to be another air slice type move, deep down inside I hope it is something different, something completely bad ass, like a sword that shoots out a giant, exploding T-Rex. I’m not expecting this training arc to last long, maybe 3 or 4 chapters at the most. Unless a giant battle breaks out in Soul Society to protect the town from Aizen.
