It's been a rough week on the Internet for Noriaki Kubo, the author of Bleach who works under the pen name of Tite Kubo. Crunchyroll previously reported about Kubo leaving Twitter behind, but now the manga author seems to be having difficulties with people - accidentally or otherwise - misappropriating his image online.

In an official statement from the editorial staff of Weekly Shōnen Jump, Kubo's management complains about a number of images on Twitter and elsewhere that misidentify portraits of other people as Bleach author Tite Kubo. The statement notes that this is a violation of Mr. Kubo's rights and strongly discourages the practice, going so far as to threaten legal repercussions in the case of malicious misappropriation.

If you're curious about some examples of images that incorrectly identify Tite Kubo, check out this post at over at Hachima Kikō.

I guess the memes got to him ._.

It's just dumb kids who have nothing better to do then to put down a man anonymously online. Hell just look at the posts in this thread.

He is upse because people mistake others for being the author of Bleach? I would think he would be happy, who would want to be associated with that debacle?
