If this idea has been spoken on then I apologize in advance. If not....has anyone considered that what has happened to Ichigo due to using GT technique may explain how his father "lost" his shinagami powers and ceased being a captain? Isshin (sp?) knew of the technique and I'm assuming he knew the side effects as well. Maybe it just takes a long time to regain a shinagami's power after using such a powerful technique. Just a thought. Comments are welcomed. Thanks.

I like your idea. Thought about it too. I think that Ichigo will get his power back. I think he has absorbed the Hogyoku. It chose him over Aizen.

and why'd they cut his hair...

on a side note anyone else thinking possible time skip of a few months
( maybe even a few years (?) ) ... it allows the basis for a new plot to be made , something allong the lines of squad 0 investigating all that happened / makes ichigo getting back his powers more acceptable.
