Pretty good episode. The fight scene is actually fun to watch, I was worried it was going to be like the fights before when Kouga didn't use any abilities and was just like *slash* *block* *slash*.

One thing I didn't understand, why was Kouga able to use the vine-like thing even after breaking his sword? I know he had his own abilities (which I thought was silly) but the vines were clearly an ability of his sword. What it just a mess up by the writers?

Completely agree with this. But when it got to the end and it ended right at the crux of the climax....darn it i cant wait for the next ep.

I do believe the vines were from his special ability because he did say some things his sword could do was from his "Special abilities". Also I do believe that Kouga is Byukuya's father because in the flashbacks they kept showing this girl who may be Genrie's daughter who was in love with Kouga, which is another reason why they adopted him into the family as a son-in-law. Byukuya is the grandson of genrie so you never no, he just might be his father.I thought the episode was amazing, Kouga's kidou was obviously more greater then Byukuya's, he kept doing the same thing while Kouga had new kidou. I can't wait for the next episode.

that girl is kouga's wife... and genrie was unhappy, cuz he was goin to kill or seal her daughter's husband..i also believe that byakuya is kouga's son..
