Ichigo is in the conference room with the other big three captains- Kyoraku, Ukitake, and Unohana- as well as Renji. Renji grabs Ichigo's shirt, angered that he had prevented Byakuya from betraying them. Renji doesn't believe that Byakuya betrayed the Soul Society for his own personal reasons. Kyoraku tells them that the situation has gotten worse if a captain betrayed them. Ukitake also mentions of the casualties so far, such as Hitsugaya and Rukia being hospitalized, as a result. Unohana also notes the zanpakuto spirits of Tobiume and Haineko that have been let go after being captured.
At sunset, Ukitake is present in Rukia's room. Ukitake tells Rukia that Byakuya has betrayed them. Rukia is visibly shaken and looks at the sky. In the cave, the zanpakuto spirits are shocked that a shinigami is present among them. They all question his appearance here and begin to converse among themselves. Tobiume and Haineko come to his defense, recalling to Byakuya being the one that has freed them from capture.
Senbonzakura becomes furious and claims that if Byakuya wanted to prove himself, he must fight Sode no Shirayuki, his sister's zanpakuto. Some of the zanpakuto spirits use their Shikai and prepare to fight Byakuya. Byakuya fights Sode no Shirayuki. They begin to clash swords. Byakuya fends SnS off with ease despite not using his Shikai. Byakuya traps SnS with Rikujokoro and kills the zanpakuto spirit. SnS is seen in Shikai form with a broken blade.
As a result, the effects of the shikai fail and they all descend into the lake below. Senbonzakura is surprised that a zanpakuto spirit was beaten so easily. This angers the zanpakuto spirits. As soon as another fight begins against Kazeshini, Muramasa stops this from escalating further. As they talk, Senbonzakura holds SnS's broken sword and becomes furious with Byakuya.
Back in the Seireitei, Rukia and Byakuya sneak into Byakuya's captain room. A Shinigami appears to question their intentions. Renji replies that they are here on his orders. Rukia looks with a sad face and remembers the first time she joined the Squad 13 and reported it to Byakuya. As soon as Rukia begins to cry, a heavy spiritual pressure leaks out.
Several Shinigami in the Squad 6 barracks have been defeated and the hallway is a total mess. Rukia is surprised that Byakuya is present, believing that he was the cause of the destruction. Rukia tries to reason with Byakuya but Senbonzakura stops her. Rukia is surprised that SnS is broken. Senbonzakura explains that Byakuya killed SnS and she can no longer reclaim her powers. Renji appears and fends off the zanpakuto spirit.
Renji questions why Byakuya is doing this. Renji clashes swords with Byakuya but is severely underclassed. Renji tries to use his shikai but is stopped by Byakuya's amazing Flash Step. The two Zabimaru spirits appear and decide to fend off Senbonzakura. While Zabimaru-M clashes swords with Senbonzakura, Zabimaru-F uses the opportunity to kick Senbon out the wall.
As soon as Byakuya leaves, Renji clashes swords. Senbonzakura fends off the two Zabimarus. Renji uses Shakkaho but is easily blocked by Byakuya. Zabimaru-F and Senbonzakura continue to clash with their swords. Senbon is pushed back and finally uses Shikai. Renji fires more Shakkahos at Byakuya but one blows to his face. Byakuya uses Byakurai but is stopped by Renji using Hainawa. They clash swords in the end.
Zabimaru-M is pushed back by Senbonzakura's Shikai once again. Zabimarus use their Bankai form while the two shinigami clash their swords. Renji is angered that Byakuya is willing to abandon Rukia, himself, Ichigo, and the Squad 6. Zabimaru uses Hikotsu Taiho. While Senbonzakura uses Shikai, he cannot stop the attack. Senbonzakura uses his Bankai.
Renji is pushed back while Zabimaru is defeated by Senbonzakura Kageyoshi. The explosion forces the zanpakuto spirits downward and unconscious. Rukia tends to Renji, defeated by Byakuya. Byakuya tells Rukia something before leaving. The other zanpakuto spirits appear. As soon as they are prepared to fight off the shinigami, Omnitskudo agents appear to surround them.
Ikkaku, Yumichika, Kira, and Hisagi appear on the rooftops in the same manner as when they were protecting Fake Karakura. Ichigo and Soifon also appear and tell Rukia to retreat. Ichigo notices Byakuya and says his name in hostility. TO BE CONTINUED
The ending changes yet again because Senbonzakura has a new mask [albeit the same type of mask] (so basically back to the first ending version).
Episode preview- We see several shots of Shinigami and the zanpakuto spirits. Ikkaku clashes with Hozukimaru's Bankai.
Episode omake- Isane appears in Hitsugaya's room at the hospital and discovers everything is frozen. Hyorinmaru is by his side, asking Isane what is it. Isane is angry that Hyorinmaru froze everything over. As soon as everything is unfrozen, Hyorinmaru freezes it again without moving.
