Eh, there's plenty of massive dickheads in OP, and not related to Teach. For some reason, if there is a Calypso figure, I see her being an anti-hero to the Strawhats; like Ruby in Supernatural.

I'm not ruling out the Calypso figure, but Oda's already used a lot of Greek/Roman mythological references (e.g. Coliseum, Poseidon, Uranus, Pluton, Neptune, merfolk, Medusa (Hancock), Phoenix, and POSSIBLY Kaidou if he's a Typhon) I think he'll explore other cultures instead like his own

Something like that. In Supernatural, Ruby is a character that supplies aid to the main characters Sam and Dean, but also fights and berates them. Kind of like Bonney or Crocodile, but to a lesser extent than the latter. I wouldn't mind seeing a character like that, especially female, but it doesn't have to necessarily be a Calypso reference.

Yeah, Oda has explored quite a number of cultures. It's possible, but maybe not probable.

It didn't became really fast garbage. The fact that some people, including me, bothered with giving a serious reply of a higher standard than this thread deserves, is something you should already be glad about. If you're going to call that trash, then what would make that this entire thread?

You can call everything, in theory, that has not been proven a theory, but that doesn't mean it can be considered a real, serious one.

BB is the offspring of a Tontatta dwarf and a giant from Elbaf. I just made it up when I wrote this. It's completely baseless, but I can call it a theory and it's pretty much of the same level as what you wrote here, so don't be all surprised when you get replies of people who point that out.

Your logic comes down to this: OP is about pirates, POTC is about pirates. Both of them have here and there some Greek influences and this means that BB is the child of a Greek nymph.... This is messed up and invalid logic. You are talking about perspective, the only reason you can call this a theory is if you take the definition of a theory in a very broad perspective.

The logic you applied is like a car can be red, blood is red, humans have blood, thus a car is human.

Everything you said is completely baseless on all levels and that perspective you are talking about is very twisted and then you are going to consider apparently all posts that do not support that twisted "theory", for lack of a better word, trash. You even insulted people from the get go if they would dislike it. That act alone speaks volumes of the level of this thread. It didn't became thrash. It was what it always has been, some of us however tried to bring it up a notch. Futile effort apparently.

For starters infracted because for some weird reason you found it necessary to insult people from the get-go, resulting in your theory becoming even less baseless than it already was, for so far that was possible, by provoking people who might not agree.

Secondly it's Calypso, not clipso. Auto correct or not, you can always change it.

Thirdly Poseidon and Uranus are figures from Greek mythology. Pluton from Roman mythology. On top of that they were all high gods and in OP they are the only three ancient weapons. Calypso is a low level figure from Greek mythology and there are hundreds like her in Greek mythology, so there is absolutely nothing special about her to assume she has got anything to do with this. Even more so that Pluton is a ship and Poseidon a mermaid with a special ability, but as far as we know they are still "normal". I don't see how this is supposed to be related to BB having a weird body. Especially because Oda used Greek mythology as inspiration for other characters and themes which do not have any particular connection to this all either.

Fourthly captain John was as far as we know simply a famous pirate. One of the general zombie's on Thriller Bark was named John and confirmed to have been a famous pirate. It's also there that Luffy found the treasure mark. How this somehow is relevant to this all, is a completely mystery to me.

Fifthly Davy Jones was mentioned during the Davy Back fight and the Davy Jones lore is something that predates the POTC franchise, it's not something they created, they only gave a new version of the story for entertainment purposes. So again I really do not understand how this is even remotely relevant.

Sixthly Marco said that BB's body was atypical. Whatever he meant has so far not been clarified nor have we gotten any additional info on the matter.

Conclusion: everything you just said was baseless and completely random. Your supposed "logic" is void of any king of logic.

This is your last chance before I kick you out of this section. By now I saw you posting two "theories" which can't be considered anything else than crackpot theories. They are void of any kind of logic or fact, pretty much inviting people to post trashy comments and on top of that you even insulted everyone who would disagree with them from the start. Then you ignored everyone who pointed out the countless of extremely obvious flaws that your theories have, considering them trash comments, but oh you couldn't wait a second to respond to someone who brings up a typo. Changing "clipso" into "Calypso" however is too much of a bother.
