What happens with DF users in water is they lose the ability to control their fruit but it is still active as seen when Luffy's head was stretched above water by Sanji while fighting Arlong and they become like a rock. Most DF users are human so this like a rock effect leads to drowning but Jack is a fishman and is able to breath underwater so he's able to survive. There was a panel of him underwater.

Jack looks like a fisherman that ate a devil fruit. If that's the case then it'll explain why he can't move

Kaido could die underwater with or without DF unless he's some fishman.

If kaido cant drown than he would have to be a fish man right? Is he possibly just a koi fish fishman

So most of us ASSUME kaido has some type of zoan. Especially with his commanders and army. He's a bit obsessed with zaons, and REALLY wanted a dragon duplicate zoan. Plus he has ties to wano.

So if he did have a zoan, most of us would assume it's the original dragon. In Japanese mythology dragons are "the strongest creatures" and have some immortality.

If this is the reason kaido can't be killed, than couldn't blackbeard using dark fruit, negate his zoan or df, making him vulnerable and than BAM QUAKE TO THE MF DOME

I think there's more to Kaido's abilities than just a DF. If his immortality was due solely to his DF then couldn't they just kill him using seastone. I believe his abilities may also have to do with his genetics. I'm sure you all must have heard the theory about Kaido being genetically modified to have traits from various races (human,giant,fishman etc.) + his DF to make him more overpowered.
Therefore, even if BB could nullify Kaido's DF powers he'd still have is inhuman physical characteristics to rely on.
