Naruto and kurama may share the same body, but they're two separate beings that are communicating with each other during fights. That make them a team. So whenever Naruto fight somebody, it is 2 vs X. When Sasuke fight, it is 1 vs X.

First off Tailed Beasts are a modification for the body.

See how I said it "first off" at both ? None of them is second to the other.

Now, can you blame Naruto for using a body modification while Sasuke uses an eye modification ? Actually you can see how powerful the body modification is when Sasuke himself wanted some chakra from the bijuu during the Kaguya Ark.

There where times when Kurama interfered and there where times when Naruto had no help from Kurama so the scale is balanced. Sasuke also had times when he was solo and when he had teammates. Look against the most powerful enemy Sasuke had Naruto as his teammate.

As for soloing. Sasuke vs Naruto at the end was solo. No kurama involved. So at the end Naruto won by soloing him. End of discussion.

As an effect of having Bujji inside his body, Naruto lost his ability to properly control his own chakra. If it isn't for that then Sasuke wouldn't have been centre of attraction when they were kids. Naruto's accomplishments with his subpar chakra control are already good enough to make Sasuke feel jealous of Naruto. Now imagine Naruto without any problems at controlling chakra, he'd outclass Sasuke in every possible filed as fighter except for intelligence in general. Sauce is actually more solo than Naruto but that doesn't mean he is SK. The title only belongs to itachi.

Sauce uses Itachi's eyes but he thinks for himself and uses his own chakra.

Naruto uses Kurama's chakra + has Kurama for intel and wisdom. Naruto is more dependent than Sasuke. Fact.

PS: Kurama is an entity. A living creature. Kishi went to great lengths to humanize them.

With that said, I would say Naruto is like a summoner type and Sasuke is a rogue/assassin type if they were in rpg video games.
