You could be right, and the black orbs could simply be Onmyoudon as we see them, but I don't think so. It seems more like they are simply a tool in which to use the Onmyoudon and not the technique itself.

Yes!! It seems you are making my point for me now. Anyone with the Rinnengan (which remember, unlocks the ability to use the Gedo Statue) can use this strange black material we see. They are related, I think that has become apparent. So now I circle back to the original point I was making. If they are indeed the same (the black orbs and Black Zetsu) what does that say about Black Zetsu?
