Can someone please summarize black zestu for me?

I am sort of stumped on why he would always call kaguya mother..

He is Kaguya's will. She made him before she was sealed.

Besides being Kaguya's will, black zetsu has been going down Indra/Asuhra incarnates to combine the two power to form the sage's ocular chakra....Rinnegan.

Out of all the uchiha +senju incarnates that passed, only Madara succeeded.

So black zetsu manipulated Madara and Obito in using IT to summon his mother Kaguya.

A Retcon asspull that sucks up to a higher power, and talks trash. Just before Kaguya was sealed the first time BZ was supposedly "born" - created. He is a "master of planning" apparently. Well, all according to the asspull. He manipulated the Uchiha clan and Indra too, he had been trying to get the transmigrations to unlock the Rinnegan, but no success until Madara.
