Black Star is rather arrogant, loud immature and narcissistic. Although he fights as an assassin, he prefers to forget the Way of Assassination by shouting and making his presence known, the reason being that he is a massive attention-seeker. He cannot stand having someone else get more attention than himself, and will proceed to beat down anyone more popular than him so he can be popular again. His loudness is often shown in his tendency to often shout when he speaks and his trademark cries of 'Yahoo!' (ひゃっはあ! Hyahhaa! in Japanese).
His arrogance stems from the fact that he seems to exhibit a superiority complex. His delusion of 'starness' as he calls it (スター性 Sutaa Sei) is so great that he constantly gives out autographs that nobody wants.

Background Info.[/COLOR]History:
Black star was born on a eclipse which is why he was given his name. His parents two of the villages best contract killers trained to be the best. At the age of 5 he was already being put into extreme training methods to control his special clan ability(shadows). But the thing about black star is he was loud and liked to show off which made it hard for him to be an expert assasin which his parents would not tolerate. So the banished him from his home to find his own way in the ninja world. So he journey a 10 year old fighting for survival. He strived to be number one in anything he does no matter what the risk was are how great the task. Through out his years he trained and finally returned home at the age of 18 to confront his parents only to find a old man. This man was his father overwhelmed with grief from banishing his son and the lost of his wife he secluded himself from the world. When Black Star walked into the room he could barley recognize his father until the old man spoke, " So you've finally returned.
