WoW is dead, and BDO is the phoenix that rose from its ashes. They're two different genres of mmorpg, though. WoW is a theme park, while BDO is a sandbox. They give you the option to do whatever you want.
It's not exactly dead if you are into hardcore PvE, which I am when I'm in the mood to play mmorpg, but aside from it - yes, pretty much. But yea, I get what you mean. Interesting, I suppose I should try it when I have free time :)

I played this game, but it becomes boring very quickly. After two hours or so I couldn't find quests anymore, the game is completely confusing. It's unclear to me where or how I get new outfits. Also, my friends don't play the game and playing with strangers is always a pain.

Like I said in the previous post, it's not a theme park. It's a sandbox. Theme park MMO games guide you through quests like a roller coaster. It's a sandbox where you have the option to do whatever. I spent the first week of the game just fishing and trading. The "main quests" are the Black Spirit quests though. You'll want to do whatever he tells you.
