I wonder where the mangaka is going with this. A wound Vengeance was born with that can not be healed and in many aspects a near identical copy of Licht. I'm glad though that it doesn't mean that Vengeance is at least consciously a potential traitor.

And it's good to see that the beaten generals were just the rundowns. I guess all of those strong looking ones have combined grimoires like Mars.

What I mean is that it seems Vengeance is not someone that works for Licht and is genuinely fighting for the Clover Kingdom. However the reality that there is some weird connection between him and Licht makes it possible that in the future Vengeance might become a traitor, involuntary or not as we don't know the nature of that connection.

Yeah that's a strong possibility. An unhealing wound since birth doesn't sound like something normal so some kind of magic being involved is quite likely. Let's us see if they tell who was his mother and if she has some connection to Licht.
