Even though he copied several other mangas Tabata is still doing a good job with BC, it's really enjoyable and I agree lol cliffhangers ;-;

Ah I suppose he had to... Have you checked his first manga Hungry Joker? It was cancelled in the middle. Asta's design is similar to the hero in that. Story had an interesting basic concept- the hero was a Genius Scientist and only thing that motivated him was curiosity and drawing was good enough. But it was a disaster the way it told the story and when it didn't get popular enough, they just cancelled it.

The Jump probably acknowledged his basic talents and forwarded him to some editor who asked him to use the tested formula. ( guessing but that seems likely to me.)

The mask of Vengeance is just too weird ~_~ but god Yami's reactions and interactions are priceless.

And I get the feeling we're going to be boned next week as normally you would announce something like this on the end of a chapter.

Out of the two captains that were missing from the ceremony, they name Yami as their leader. U_U

I liked some of the elements, but it was very poorly written.
