Both Naruto & Sasuke were out of chakra for hours @ VOTE2. When your out of chakra you don't die. You can't use any jutsu, & your just literally ******.

Case in point being. Naruto & Sasuke had to fight each other for Hours with only Taijutsu because neither had enough chakra for any jutsu.

Retread the manga. Kakashi mentioned several times if you use all your chakra you'll die.. Not having enough doesn't mean your completely out.

You need to re-read the manga. Kakashi said if you over exert yourself trying to perform a jutsu, without enough chakra, the jutsu will move fail & In the worst case scenario you can die. He said but if not, your most likely dead anyways, because your in a real pinch.

Another example is Sasuke was Completely out of chakra while facing Itachi & his Susanoo. Itachi checked with his Sharingan, but Sasuke was alive.
