Whats the reason?
Vegeta took time to change years in fact, very much unlike naruto characters who change in a single day e.g nagato, obito.

As time went by vegeta married Bulma and started to get along better with the others, future trunks helped a lot with that. He also learnt about living for the sake of other people than just himself or to fight. Like I said it took him years

Lol, some people seem to be unable to understand what they watch/read. Haven't you watched DBZ?
Vegeta turning good is one of the few things DBZ got right. Vegeta is one of the very few characters that got well-done character development. Just listen to this video, then you might get it.

The "plot-hole" concerning Vegeta is, what they did with him in DB Super. It's like the creators retconned the speech above to maintain the rivalry between him and Goku.

I like how you've worded that. It's been many years since I've watched DBZ but I recall that being an important part of his development as a character. Vegeta could never work out where Goku's strength came from so he decided to imitate Goku in hopes of surpassing him. In the end he concluded that Goku was just Goku, so while imitating him didn't grant any superiority, Vegeta slowly became less of a villain.

Lol, you actually picked DBZ (The show with 100000 plot holes) and you chose something that isn't a plothole

Not necessarily, Vegeta admitting Goku is the best doesn't mean he will just give up and stop. Doing that would just be unlike Vegeta and is one of the reasons I hated GT.
