Big plot hole with Izanami/Izanagi

Here Obito states that Izanagi requires both Uchiha and Senju DNA.

Now here we see Itachi explaining why Izanami was created.

So according to this, there were multiple people with the power of the Uciha and the Senju within the Uchiha clan at the time, so many that it became a problem and a jutsu was made to stop them using Izanagi.

If it was just one or two people, then Izanami would not have needed to be created. So it was a lot of people, which doesn't make any sense.

Even so, I think izanagi works for a few moments, while adding senju dna drastically increases the time limit.

It seems sketchy but I think Obito meant that Senju DNA was needed to perfect Izanagi to the level he used it, he was able to use it for such a long period of time. Itachi mentions that it is a Forbidden Uchiha technique but doesn't seem to hint that you need Senju DNA. I think the DNA is only required to boost perfect Izanagi but I really don't know, it's the only way I can see it making sense though.

2. Izanagi/Izanami require only the Sharingan, BUT Senju DNA is required to use it to it's full extent (longer time), like Tobi and Danzo. Just like how KA's cooldown is shortened by having both Senju and Uchiha, the effect of Izanagi is extended by having Senju and Uchiha DNA.

Obito clearly states that you need both in order for it to work, and something just seems off about a ton of uchihas taking the DNA of the Senju. I don't think the prideful, pureblood Uchiha would muck up their blood with SenjuDNA,it would probably be outlawed among the clan.

I don't know, that does not seem like something he would lie about. And that would be lazy on Kishis part to fix a plothole by saying "oh well he lied".

I don't know where everyone is getting this idea from, we have never seen an Uchiha without Senju DNA use it. If they could why wouldn't any of the Uchiha use it against Itachi during the massacre? Or why wouldn't Itachi use it against Sasuke?

You're forgetting that Izanami and Izanagi are kinjutsu. They weren't supposed to be used. Plus, I'm sure Kishi thought of these techniques during pt 2, way after the Uchiha massacre was brought up. Second, Itachi didn't use it on Sasuke because he wanted to die, that much is obvious.

Why would Tobi lie to someone who was about to die, especially when it was just the two of them? And if he was gonna lie, why lie and say Izanagi needs Senju and Uchiha DNA? What does Obito gain from such a lie?

No. Obito explicitly said that Izanagi requires both lineages.

Well Itachi wouldn't use a forbidden technique like that on Sasuke, that's just not in his nature to do something like and sacrifice his eyes at that time. Remember, Itachi planned on Sasuke transplanting Itachi's eyes, that's why KA would have worked on Sasuke had Sasuke decided to attack Naruto. As for the Uchiha clan, I don't think they had the opportunity as Itachi completely outclassed all the Uchiha. Remember when Itachi took out 3 Uchiha clan members on the police squad who all had 3T? Chances are, the Uchiha didn't stand a chance against Itachi and Obito, I have a feeling that they were unsuspecting of Itachi anyway since Itachi attacked at night.

Besides, Itachi was pretty well-knowledged, the other Uchiha might not have even known about Izanagi. But that's just more speculation.

I bet lots of Uchiha lost lots of battles with the senju because their goal was to get senju DNA just like Madara had vs Hashirama. Senju were stronger according to Hashirama, but I bet some Uchiha just wanted DNA and Madara followed in their footsteps. Also Izanagi caused jealousy in the Uchiha clan at that time so something would have had to be done about it.

The fact that it is forbidden won't stop someone from using it if they are about to die. And yeah Kishi thought of it after the Uchiha massacre which is why he made it need Senju DNA or else it would have been a plot hole there too. It obviously needs both to activate. Obito could not have been clearer when he stated it.

First off not all uchiha act like saiyans
secondly many people in the series have used dna,energy or kkg of other people throughout the entire series.

What you have to remember that not all senju are as powerful as hashirama so not all senju dna will give you the same powerful vitality and obviously none of them had mokuton.

So i don't see what you think is so strange.
