@regulus, CT took out a whole mountain range. Had he used this tech on Konoha, Tsunade wouldn't have been able to save anyone.

Also, comon, just look at how vast this jutsu is. It's obvious it can take out a whole city, which can easily house over a million people.

Imo, judging by the size of Deva paths CT, he could easily take out a normal sized city.
This was merely a puppet used by an already very weakened and emaciated Nagato.

Just imagine the scale of CT at the hands of a prime and health Nagato.

Deidara has a 10 km bomb capable of destroying entire villages, yet was defeated by a 16 year old whose strongest move at the time could only destroy one structure. Why would strength be determined by the scale of techniques you use, when you can clearly be severely outmatched by a weaker, smarter opponent?

Because it's Sasuke.

There are 2 more ranks above S Class. And if you rank Killer Bee above S Class, then you should add Sasuke there too, because he solo'd him in his Bijuu Mode with a simple Amaterasu.

And yeah, the other 2 ranks are Demi-God and God, and the characters you listed are the following ranks:

Demi-God: Naruto, Hashirama
God: SO6P, Obito, Nagato, Madara

There are also a few characters like Minato and Sasuke that could've been added to the Demi-God list, but Killer Bee is S Class for sure.

Don't make my laugh with that list.

Demi-God: Naruto, Nagato.

God: S06P, Obito, Hashirama and Madara.

OT: I agree somewhat. It kind of reminds me of Fairy Tail. Depending the the S-Class Wizard's strength, they could go on SS class missions because they are stronger.

However cities in the NarutoVerse aren't that densely populated so there is no way to take out a million people. At most it has 10k-20k people. There is no physical way for Nagato to take out 1 million people.

Well Deidara's explosion can cover 10km radius. That's 314 square km.

Nagato's CT looks bigger. You can tell by looking at the curvature of the land under the CT sphere.

Now a human city like Tokyo, for example, has 13 million people in 2188 squared km. Under the right conditions, there can be an equally dense area in the Narutoverse. For example, if ninjas moblize for war, then gather in tight spaces for formation. Imagine a whole fleet like this. Well, let's assume that its possible in the narutoverse to have a city as dense as tokyo.

If we assume that Nagato's CT can cover a radius 10km, like Deidara, then according to may calculations, CT can take out 1865630.7 , thats almost 2 million.

But the number should higher than that since CT appears to be larger than C0, meaning its radius of effect should be more than 10km; and it should actually be that way since Nagato's strength was feared even within Aktsuki itself.

Now you could make the argument that there isn't that many people in the narutoverse itself. But my point is still proven, Nagato can, under the right conditions, take out over a million ninjas.

Maybe Nagato could take out a million baby's, or people that aren't ninja.

I'm pretty sure a million ninja would destroy Nagato's planetary devastation just by launching low level jutsu at it simultaneously.

You are way overestimating the size of Chibaku Tensei.

First of all I'll bring Chibaku Tensei down to size. The clouds that surround would be about 3 kilometers of the ground. So being generous I'd give the crater a radius of 4 kilometers. Which is about 50.25 square kilometers.

Secondly I'll find the population of Konoha. Konoha, which has the biggest population out of all the villages according to the second fanbook. we see that there are 80,000 members in the Shinobi Alliance. Since Konoha is the most populated of the villages I will say they make up 18% of the alliance. Which totals 14400 members of the alliance are from Konoha. Then we had civilians to fill in the rest of the population. Being generous I'd say there is 5600 non-shinobi citizens. That brings the total to 20,000.

Next I'll find the size of Konoha. Konoha has been stated by Kishimoto himself that is was based on his own hometown of . Rounding up Nagi has an area of 70/km^2. I'll use that number for Konoha's area.

Therefore the population density of the most populated Hidden Village is a total of 286 people/km^2. Therefore the most damage Chibaku Tensei could do around 15,000 people.

How did Saskue solo him? He had Taka with him who had to save his ass numerous times and even then he didn't kill him.

No way. You can see the curvature of the earth in that picture. No way that is radius of 4km. Do you seriously think that in 30 min, you can drive through 10 mountains and 3 whole forests, at around the standard 60mi/hr?

Besides, it's reasonable to assume that that CT sphere is small compared to one that a prime Nagato can make.

Ok, I'll concede that it's not really doable in the Narutoverse. However, I'm talking about the capability of CT. It's capable of killing a million ninjas, it's just not feasible in the Narutoverse since, as you've pointed out, there aren't that many in one area.

Just like how we can claim that a tank is capable of killing a T-Rex, it's not feasible, but it's definitely capable.

Your argument about seeing the curvature of the earth is null point. Even at 18 kilometers you can't see the curvature of the earth. The naked eye lacks the required depth perception to see the curvature. Anything else is a trick of a lens or an illusion. Therefore you can't judge it's height based on the curvature seen in the background.

The curvature is a visual device used by the author to show vastness. He put it there for a specific purpose.

Keep in mind that the visible size of an explosion does not cover its entire area of effect. The pressurized air surrounding a blast of that magnitude would pulverize human beings a wide distance around the detonation site of Deidara's attack.

Also, Almighty Push absolutely flattened an entire town. Tsunade protected everyone barely.

True. Also, had CT been used instead of Almighty Push, Tsunade would have been completely useless and the whole town, instead of being flattened, would be crushed in the sky with no survivors.

Why is scale of destruction supposed to be the main criterium? IMO it's bullshit.

Also, Itachi being able to defeat Nagato is bullshit, sorry, I just had to point it out. U_U

IMO these should be the levels used to measure characters' strength:
1. Genin
2. Chunin
3. Low-jonin
4. Mid-jonin
5. High-jonin
6. Low-kage
7. Mid-kage
8. High-kage
9. S-rank (but different than what it normally means, in this ranking it's something more than a kage but not quite demi-god yet, aka Naruto, Kakashi, Itachi...)
10. Demi-god (Madara, Hashirama, current Obito, possibly Nagato and that's it)

Then this whole thread is deturmined by pure power. I don't think pure power is what makes strength. Look at Minato he can redirect any large scal attack out the way easily or back at yourself with the space-time barrier. Any normal person wouldn't be able to even lay a hand on Minato his reflexes are so fast and his thinking is so fast.

Itachi can't be hit by the most devastating attacks his Susanoo is so hax and he can seal anyone if his sword cuts you. With he can use his sharingan to probably what Madara could. We have never once saw Itachi go out 100% yet he was so powerful.

Sasuke doesn't have village leveling attacks but his Eternal Mangekyou Sharingan is haxed. He can use Amaterasu like Gaara uses his sand it has no limit and this is just the start of his Eternal Mangekyou Sharingan. As we saw from Madara Eternal Mangekyou Sharingan has devastating capabilities.

There are people that are like them but they can't destroy villages but can defeat the people you mentioned because of their natural abilities.

If you think about it. If I were a general, I want the person most likely to be able to do the most damages to the enemy. Basic tactics.

Nagato vs Itachi:

with full knowledge, they would just use their fastest strong attack. Full powered Shinra Tensei vs Tsukiyomi. Which activates faster? Who knows?

without full knowledge, Nagato might not finish off Itachi, which gets him caught in Tsukiyomi.

If I was a general I'd want an army of mid-level fighters, rather than just one super strong fighter. If that one person gets taken out than you are done.
