Chapter 26 - Spear of Light
Previously on Bettenchi
Haze , Amaya and Ren met their enemy Deira who joined demons for unknown reason and gained ones soul becoming stronger than Shadow Reapers as she claimed. Ren lost his patience and attacked her. She deflected their attacks and used her own powers to bring them down. Before leaving she left a gift by destroying center of the Akataito city
People in the city are terrified.
Haze : She...she's not going to get away with this !!! Ren can you find her ?
Ren : One minute...
Ren closes his eyes and concentrates
Ren : Hmm... that cloud is moving in North, but it's too fast , no way we can chase it.
Amaya : Or...we can try
Haze : How ?
Amaya : I know I can't handle my gravity powers so good yet...but
Amaya puts her both hand on the ground and says loud by concentrating energy to her palms
Amaya : Teiatsu !!!
Earth where team is standing starts shaking , edges cracks around them and about five meters length earth piece rises floating in air and glowing red.
Team is standing over it , Amaya is standing with closed eyes , concentrating
Ren : Whoa...I get it now
Haze : Amaya , can you move it and keep it stable ?
She answers quietly
Amaya : I can move it fast enough to get closer that cloud and follow it . But I will I hate to use most of my energy. I might not be able to help later...
Haze : We will think of something.
Amaya : Oh...and you two will have to be my eyes , I can't move this thing if I open my eyes .
Ren : Fine , lets move this thing !!!
Haze : Move down the hill.
Amaya : Ok, Aaaahhhhhhh !!!
She moves her hands back and earth piece flies down the hill in high speed
Ren : Aaaaaahhhh !!! We are going to fall like this !!!
Wind blows Ren down on the piece
Amaya : Hhhhh...
Amaya concentrates even more and both Ren and Haze covers in Amaya energy. She holds them so they won't fall.
They fly down the hill and gets closer to the forest.
Haze : ...Amaya !!! Five meters up !!!
Amaya changes her palm pose and they fly up over the trees. Earth piece cuts few tree tops.
Ren : Full speed Amaya !!! Ahahaahah !!! I love stuff like this !!! Woooo !!!
Amaya puts her hand back a bit more and earth peace gains it's full speed moving over the trees
Haze : Ren !!! Where's cloud ?!
Ren : It's far, still moving to the north , but I think we are getting closer !!!
Haze : Good , keep us informed if it changes direction or anything!!!
Ren : Roger !
Meanwhile in Shadow World
Reko is sitting on huge dark seat , his sword is rooted to the ground and his both hands are holding it. Then some demons walks closer saying
Demon : King, targets were confirmed by Deira. But they have gone right away. They were too fast to be followed.
Reko : Hmh... I told her not to make them angry. Don't pass anything to her... you can go .
Demon : It's not all. Shadow Reapers team from South disappeared .
Reko : ...just five days of training and they already left Tachu. How many ?
Demon answers quietly
Demon : We have sent ten... None of them returned...
Reko answers surprised
Reko : ...eeeeehhh, ten already ?
Demon : Yes, should we send more ?
Reko : No...leave
Demon : But-
Reko : I said leave...
Demon : But, we want them not to seal us again, right . So why aren't you sending strong ones to kill them ?
Suddenly Reko's sword pierces demons body. Reko is standing behind him .
Reko : You are asking too much and too loud...
Reko pulls his sword away and pushes demon with his leg . Demon hits the ground and turns into dust right away. Then Teirra comes
Tairra: hahah, if you keep doing this , we won't have anyone near .
Reko : Don't worry about that.
Tairra: Hah, yeah. I heard Deira is doing great , right ?
Reko walks towards his seat
Reko : Yes , but she's still controlled by human emotions , she can still be changed back.
Tairra: Hah, no way she's turning back after what she done in that city .
Reko : She's blinded by her inner shadows. She didn't even realize what she have done .
Tairra: ...hmmm... should I kill traitors ?
Reko : ...in silence .
Meanwhile , Miyuki , Hitsuga and Hisashi are running in the forest.
Hitsuga : Are you sure about this ?
Hisashi : I think. We must get to Spear of Light first, if we won't... !!!
Miyuki : If you are right, I hope we won't be late...
They continue running heading to the West
At the same time somewhere in North
Ren , Amaya and Haze are flying on the piece of earth following the dark cloud
Ren : Eyyy !!! It's slowing down !!!
Haze : We are almost there ! Good job Amaya !
While saying Haze looks at Amaya. She looks exhausted. She's sweating and it looks like she feels pain .
Haze : ...just little more Amaya...
Ren : It's enough close , it stopped.
Haze : You can slow down now
Amaya : Ghhh... *pant *pant*
Amaya puts her hand near her and earth piece slows down
Ren : Here's a perfect spot !! Move it down Amaya...
Amaya moves her hand again. And earth piece flies down closer to the ground. But suddenly Amaya faints and earth piece brakes into pieces making team fall down .
Ren : Oh crap !!! O_O
Amaya :
Haze : Damnit ! Naifu... Tsuchi Toku !!!
While saying those words Haze catches Amaya with his both hands and right after that two huge earth hand forms appears from the ground and catches Ren , Haze and Amaya before they reaches the ground.
Ren stands up on the earth hand.
Ren : Ewww.... mud is everywhere...Thanks Haze...
Haze holds Amaya on his hands. Checks if she's not hurt and jumps down with her. Ren jumps few seconds later and earth hands falls turning into normal earth again
Ren : She's ok ?
Haze lays Amaya on the ground
Haze : ...she used everything she had... She must rest now...
Ren notices something
Ren : Hmm? The enemy... is near. Should we-
Haze : Lets go , we will leave Amaya here.
Ren and Haze runs away from Amaya heading in the North under the trees, at the same time Deira and two demons landed on the ground.
Demon : Is it here ?
Deira : Should be... stay here
Deira raises her hand and it covers with dark cloud, then she hits the ground
Deira : Aaaahhhh !!!
Ground breaks in and Deira jumps down into the huge opening in it
Deira : It must be here...no, it's not here
She jumps out of the hole and notices that both demons are gone
Deira : Huh ?
Suddenly two glowing chains winds around Deira and Haze jumps out from under the tree
Deira : Heh heh !!! That's a surprise, you managed to follow me this far. Heh ! Did you forgot you already tried this back then ?
Deira moves her arms and tries to break it, but its useless
Haze : It's different now...
Ren comes from over the tree too
Ren : We did not came here to play, we won't forgive you what you have done... Take a good look at yourself
Deira : What ?!
Deira looks at the chain and notices many feathers attached to it
Ren smiles
Ren : That means a blast ,does it ?
After Ren asks, feather explodes with huge fire and smoke ball covering the area
Few seconds after explosion Deira jumps out of the cloud with few scratches
Deira : ...we will play next time.
Haze : Wait !!!
Haze throws chain, but before it reaches Deira turns into a cloud and disappears .
Ren : Damn it !!!
Haze : Cloud vanished too

By few suggestions, current Bettechi chapter writing is stopped till I reach current story events in "Rime-ku"
