one of my fave verses from slaughterhouse is "loud noises" joe budden smh....

[Verse 5: Joe Budden]
Insane what they call us, how you married to the game
But you probably shouldn’t of came to the alter?
Every bar like propane for the sawed-off you shoulda hang and they'll fault ya
Eminem, Mr. Porter, slaughter my sentiments, eminent torture
All of you feminine marauders, they're swimming that water, men will assault ya
Tommy's and bats to resemble Lasorda
Kidnap your trembling daughter
At least a quarter of my I’ma menacing supporter
It's got an aura more like Sodom and Gomorrah
Normally something’s wrong with me
Blame it on quantity of the porn I see on the pawns to me
When I fix the game y’all think shit came with a warranty
How the **** are they gonna stop what I was born to be?
Corner me shit belong to me
Two choices, you can get along with me
Or sit your ****** ass right there in dormancy
Wait, all he missing is heels to be RuPaul
Ain’t nobody that’s real ever knew y’all
And I’m second to none and I’m dealing with bums
Whose time never comes, now deal with the blue balls
You ain’t gotta fear me but you respect me *****s who never met me
Threaten me, want to Gillette me, coming to a sword fight against a machete
Swinging spaghetti like it’s heavy
Some said he deserve an ESPY in a Chevy like Andretti
Put the desi where his chest be

Lol. Joe Booty.

OT: Pac was like Jesus, Nas wrote the Bible. Wasn't Born Sinner in 2012? Nah I think it was 2013. Whatever still top verse.

No its called relevance. Hes just saying things in songs now that are boring, dull, it doesn't grab my attention. Majority of his new songs can you even tell me what its about? There's little to no theme anymore. You're right not every rap song has to be saying something but eminem doesn't have the flow to make party songs(with no meaning / substance) for instance like meek mill, or wiz khalifa. Older beats fit Em's style much more than the ones hes trying now.
Bad Guy-Eminem's lashing out at celebrities and the hate he channels into his music is bred from insecurity and shortcomings he feel he himself has. Bad Guy is the embodiment of Eminem's self-loathing, insecurity and self-acknowledged hypocrisy.

Rhyme or Reason-Demonstrates Eminem's, as well as many other people's, defense mechanism towards hurtful and painful parts of their life, namely his father being gone and his broken house, in a lighthearted and joking manner in order to lessen the pain, and flip it into something positive and useful.

So Much Better-A nonsense song to just have fun, same as Drug Ballad, Kill You, The Real Slim Shady. Amityille

Survival-Once again a more lighthearted song, it's about overcoming the difficulties he faced with fame, though not as in depth as other songs. It's Eminem saying no matter what is thrown at me, I'm coming back with stronger punches and sharper knives.

Legacy-This goes more in depth with the pain Eminem faced growing up. It addresses the loneliness, bullying and ostracism he endured, and how making rap music was his escape and his way of surviving it, and how he turned this escape into something grand that he can be proud of.

Ass Hole-Just like Criminal and Who Knew, this is a sarcastic way of Eminem addressing the scrutiny he has faced. Like Criminal, Who Knew, I'm Back, ***** Please, Remember Me, it's Eminem using his rhymes to have some sarcastic and crude fun.

Berzerk-This was eh, nonsense but in the same light as The Real Slim Shady.

Rap God-This was to show off Eminem's skill in rhyming and achieving amazingly fast and complex flows and schemes, and he accomplished just that. Yes, this song wasn't saying much of anything, but that's not its purpose. Once you realize its purpose, you understand how good the song is because of how well it achieves that purpose, and that's basically to show, Eminem has the verbal skill to **** you up.

Brainless-This was yet another song about turning something negative, namely his weird thinking, into something positive. Another song meant more for demonstrating clever rhymes and lines rather than go into some deep message.

Stronger Than I Was-This is Eminem's method of apologizing to Kim. It's in her POV and the song is meant to show Eminem has matured enough to understand her side, to show the empathy he has grown to know and to say "Yeah, I ****ed up too, I had my ugly parts and contributions to all of this."

The Monster-In this song, Eminem is saying he isn't normal, he isn't a saint. He's acknowledging that some of what he does, will do and have done, is ****ed up and has even been troubling and very far below ideal, but he's okay with that because he's overcome it and is in a better place. This song is about Eminem making peace with some of the demons Bad Guy embodies, illustrating his growth through life as growth through the album.

So Far-Once again, a song in the same light as My Name Is and the Real Slim Shady, just a song to have some fun and he does some self-reflecting to make an enjoyable song.

Love Game-Another song to have fun in, this is actually a pretty good song with some damn good lines(She wanted an intimate date, I want to intimidate) as well as a strong verse from Kendrick, though both could have done better.

Headlights-Do I even really need to explain this?

Evil Twin-The closest we get to The Real Slim Shady, My Name Is, and Criminal, this is classic Eminem with a modern style. The theme is, all that ****ed up shit I said, that's me, I just used an alter ego to give my music an edge.

There, unless you want a five paragraph MLA style essay on how you got Em ****ed up, this should suffice.

You saying some of those are nonsense is exactly my point. He can't make GOOD nonsense songs since he doesn't have the flow or anything new to say to make people interested enough to keep listening. You listed these songs in relations to his old ones but in his old ones his hard edge and take on things, and flow that was original is what made those songs good. Now, hes basically a broken record with a new beat and worse flow.
