I found the orochimaru button mash to be the hardest had to retry about 6 times hand was dead haha.
People seem to find this challenging but I sincirely have to say that I had no difficulties with it
I guess I was lucky or something. I only had problems with Kakuzu and Pain fights. Not with the quick time events but with the fights it self.
Otherweise the game was pretty easy.

My last fight against Pain was hell. When naruto isnt in Sage mode anymore I had to retry like 8 times or so.
Sasori is the hardest character online. I don't know why but I am always faced against good Sasori users

ya pain was always in awakening mode it was hard it was harder for me because i had to beat him in my very last life bar and i didn't have much either i was like half of my life last bar and i still beat him after like 8 or 9 tries

I kept trying to dodge his attack when he was on the tree rather than just running side to side. Stupid I know, I slaughtered him once I stopped screwing it up.

Each character has their strengths and weaknesses, and certain characters are better against others, i don't think ranged characters should be allowed to be used against melee chars, because even if you can beat them, as the melee char you'll always be at a disadvantage, especially against Deidara who can just flick down on the left analogue and press b/o to fly away.
My personal favourites are Kiba and Hidan, i don't like giving people space, i like to be in their face getting off combo's, it works well against Jutsu/Ultimate Jutsu spammers, just never giving them a chance to get chakra back.
