It was easily one of the worst. They preformed like 10 Lionel Richie songs, they took forever to address the death of Maya Angelou, the Jay Z and Beyonce performance was prerecorded, Nicki Minaj won Best Female Rapper for a 5th time in a row, Chris Rock was only slightly funny, and TDE wasn't even nominated for the Best Hip Hop group award.

Address it at the very end of the show? That's ridiculous. They made the stupid ass Lionel Richie a bigger priority. An important black person's death would usually be the first thing they would talk about. They just knew that wouldn't garnish views from the younger audience

And Nicki saying that she doesn't have any competition doesn't make it true, there are plenty of female artists better than her, BET just won't give them a chance because they know people would be upset if Nicki didn't win

Also I wasn't necessarily saying TDE should win, they're not even my favorite, but the fact that they weren't even candidates despite everyone in the group dropping projects this year shows how much BET only cares about popularity. Look at A$AP Mob, I love them but they haven't even done shit this year except drop a couple singles for an album that's having severe release date issues
