Exactly. Sakura's Byakugo allows her to demonstrate comedic effect mid-battle since it allows her to take physical punishment without being slowed in the slightest. Remember how Gaara got taken out by a freaking headbutt? It would've made sense this time around and been funny.

You cannot tell me that thousands of Rasengans look cooler than the thought of Sakura's close-up battle style forcing her to constantly choreograph attacks, duck and weave, and hop and jump in the face of oncoming attacks.

All good answers besides you Rebo, you're lying out your ass, but as someone who thinks Naruto himself was a trash lead, how much worse or better would Sakura be? Scale of 1-10.
Also, don't neglect that the only reason Sakura lacks development is the fact that she's a side character. As the OP says, Sakura's relationship with Sasuke includes love so we would have to see her develop in regards to it as it's a key piece of why she pursues. She also began more flawed in regards to understanding others so she would've made a great display of Ninshuu's effectiveness.

I got to disagree. Kishimoto didn't use her to her full potential, but she was always the lead heroine in the series. Being apart of Team 7 was everything for this series. She did get adequate screen time and she did what she could in the War Arc.

Kishimoto established her to be a person from an ordinary background to grow up to be the strongest kunoichi. What more can her fans want? Something more than this pushes the bounds of what Kishimoto addressed.

I agree with you. What I meant was Sakura serving the function of protagonist with her own goals, would change her story altogether. While she was the lead heroine in Kishi's story she was more of a support character.

If the story was say focused on her as the MC we could have a different set up. You have shinobi from clans with unique bloodlines/clan abilities considered the creme of the crop and those not from clans don't hold the same station. Her goal could be to rise to the top, above and beyond shinobi from clans and to go onto become the GOAT. Maybe even the first female Kage. Being a female ninja she'd also be considered inferior to her male counterparts. Then you could add in her trying to save her friends one possessed by the demon and another consumed by revenge.
