So when they failed they would have to start over. The only reason Naruto was limit to 200 clones was because of the chakra control difficulty level.

Naruto is same people that in every single major battle he entered in part 2 he was at a weaken state because prior to that battle Naruto was training.

We have never seen base Sasuke use anywhere near the same amount of charka as base Naruto.

PS: For the people who wants to claim Naruto's chakra amount is large only because of the nine tails. That's not true at all.

Barring Sage chakra and Bijuu upgrades: Naruto's base chakra was never special. The seal was designed to let Kurama's chakra leak and naturally mix with his - a fact repeated twice in the manga by Jiraiya and the frog. So, if any fans here assume that his base chakra is all that, then they are fooling themselves.

Naruto's base reserves are nowhere near the likes of Karin, Nagato, Kisame, Hashirama and Tobirama etc. No where near them. There is nothing in the manga to counter the statement that Sasuke doesn't possess more chakra, when Uchihas were known to have large reserves. Obito puts it quite explicitly.

Itachi, someone with poor stamina compared to the rest, after crow clones (that use up mostly half the chakra of the user) used Amaterasu twice, Tsukuyomi, Katon techs and maintained V4 Susano'o long enough to fight, decapitate snake heads and seal Orochimaru and still bid farewell to his brother. When we all know how incrediably taxing Amaterasu, Tsukuomi and Susano'o are at MS level.

This Naruto possessing far more base reserves than Sasuke is never backed by the manga. A fan perpetuated nonsense.

I think Base Naruto's chakra reserves alone are greater than Sasuke. Add Kurama's chakra, and they completely outweigh Sasuke's reserves in pure quantity. Sasuke demolishes in chakra quality though which helps him last almost as long as Naruto and Kurama's combined chakra while using parallel power.

Uzumaki's was really only known for their vitality/life force not large reserves. The only Uzumaki with large reserves was Nagato. Naruto's too but that's because kurama's chakra been mixing with his own since he was a child.
