Banning Religious and Political Threads

Religious and Political threads, they always end in trolling and flaming.
What does NB think?
Should these threads be banned?​

I think they are very troublesome, but if they do ban them it'll make them look bad because the christians will think the "atheists" won. I think the current system of locking/deleting them when a flame war starts is good. You just cannot control some members tempers, and that's the issue. It's not a debate, it's mere arguments.

About political, it's less of an issue than religion on the base it seems. It can stay I guess.


Personally, I could care less if they go or not. I guess I'm in favor with you, but it won't happen.

I think they should remain, and I don't believe ALL end in trolling and flaming. Though they are likely targets to trolling and flaming, there are participants who doesn't flame or troll, so instead of banning such threads, report the trolls and flamers.

I don't see why its necessary as long as they follow the forum rules which state the correct conduct to use.

If people followed the rules like they do in any other section then there isn't a problem why should religious and political topics be different.

Hence this is a forum, where everyone can sheir views/comments/opinions about the world, there shouldn't be a restrictions like "No religious/political threads on NB". These topics can be discussed, but people choose to be immature about it, and make comments that most of the time, sets off the whole convo. That's all there is to it. It's not the discussion, it's the people.

Well, the outcome really depends on the type of people who participate in these threads.

Actually i dont.
i do agree that it always end in flamming. but i think infractions should be gave out to people who insult other people political/religious views. im a christian so if i want to make a thread saying how "Good my GOD is" or "How was church" i wouldn't want that to be a problem. just nobody comment on it if that`s not your view.

People should be chill and friendly in first place. Banning some certain threads will result more trolling on other threads. So its like a dead circle you need to ban everything if you want the true 'peace'
