In the latest chapter, we see Madara and Izuna, both having Mangekyo Sharingan by that time, fighting with Hashirama and Tobirama, but no...who needs that pesky Susanoo? Who cares if it protects you and is useful both in attack and defence? No, let's not use it and get cut by Tobirama.

So I call bullshit. Kishimoto is in such a hurry to end the flashbacks in order not to let down his readers who want the plot to progress that he decided he should give such a lame death to a character hailed as equally strong to Madara.

p.s. It's ridiculous how he remembered it when Madara fights with EMS.

Maybe Izuna didn't activate his yet, call me crazy. Maybe that was the fight at the Final Valley (I'd like to think that's where it was in this chapter) where the first Susanoo was activated.

Still, that's bullshit. Sasuke activated his after some days. Incomplete, yeah but still better than "I 'm open, cut me in half".

There's a thing called 'chakra exhaustion', it's been displayed many times, like when Sasuke had finished Danzo and tried to activate it again, but failed.
That's the only non-bullshit way of explaining it but come on...really? Izuna dies because of chakra exhaustion?

Whatever, I was curious to see Izuna's Susanoo and his other MS abilities but no, Kishimoto killed him in a panel's time.

It was already stated that Susanoo was a rarity among the Uchiha

Sasuke/Itachi/Madara have it because of plot and too show their "tremendous power" compared to regular uchiha

I feel that today's manga was shaky all the way around from Izuna saying i'm wide open cut me to Madara laying on the ground saying it would be fitting if you kill me. Even with the Uchiha quiting and trading sides i though they were rival clans nothing about this flash back indicates rivalary to me ..this is grade "A" bs story telling right here

I was rather thinking that he couldn't use Susano'o because he had used up too much chakra, Tobirama seemed to hit him in quite a fatal area...

Here's a question for ya's.

If Izuna gave Madara his eyes, does that make Madara's Susan'o really Izunas? Meaning if They both lived and kept their own eyes would Madara be as powerful?

You do realise Izuna can't hold Susanoo forever right?
So you are saying that he had it on aaaaall the way but we saw only the part when he couldn't hold it anymore. Please...

I was rather thinking that he couldn't use Susano'o because he had used up too much chakra, Tobirama seemed to hit him in quite a fatal area...
Yeah I got your point. I meant he died because he lowered his defense due to chakra exhaustion.
