*Luke tilts his head towards the young looking kid, not much older than his little brother. He begins to wonder why a kid like himself would be alone in Republic City, until he reminds himself of the harshness of life here. He sighs and looks straightly at the kid now.*

Cassius nurses old woman Yugoda, she has fallen ill to a terrible disease and blood isn't circulating around her body, crippling her and making the old mentor bed-ridden. As the second most talented medic in the Northern Water Tribe it's his job to treat the respected elder. He fetches for Nurse, his medical raccoondog who loyally leaps to his side, offering medical equipment from the dog's satchel. 'Cassius, it's no use- conventional medicine will make no difference now, if your medical skills came into it then I would've been cured long ago'

An hour passes and she falls asleep, Nurse wanders off and in your break from her bedside he tried to find the missing dog, he went further down into the basement of the Elder's house and down into the library when he realised...he probably shouldn't be here. Scrolls, maps, books recounting awful events of Water Tribe history- and there he found him, the daft yet oddly valiant Husky with the ears and tail of a raccoon was sniffing the contents of a book and growling slightly. Cassius picked up the old book, it read- 'Bloodbending. The Taboo Element' and then begun the boy's obsession.

Cassius stole the book and learned about the existence and history of the style, people would fall silent when he inquired about it but he realised- this dreadful dreadful skill, might not have be used as a curse. What if he could harness it as a power for good? He'd become legendary, be able to save his teacher Yugoda and become the most talented medic of all time. Cassius and Nurse took the book and headed out to a low-brow part of town, he had to know more.

Riding on Borealis' back around town, just daydreaming about nothing but where her next adventure would take her, Aurora notices the man riding his dog, as if he were trying to hide something. Her interest piqued by this, Aurora motions Borealis to stealthily follow the man and his dog to wherever they were heading. Knowing the North like the back of her hand, by the way they were going, it seems they were going to the underbelly of the North Pole. Memories resurfaced once they entered, still unnoticed by the man...this was the first place she used her bloodbending capability....in defense of her own life. She didn't kill the man that tried to end hers, rather send him off running once he realized what he was dealing with....

I can only wonder what this guy is trying to hide by going here...not many an upperclass waterbender like this guy would dare to venture here....I try to avoid this area as much as possible myself, but the underbelly just has so many good shortcuts to nearly everywhere in the North....focus Aurora, focus....

Reminding herself of the motive for this journey, she keeps a low profile as she continues to follow.

Cassius was more than anything else, a stupid dreamer- whilst a smart person would spend their time learning not dreaming, Cassius saw them as one and the same. But his thoughts didn't lay on the city forever- the couldn't, as the sound of crumpled snow plucked up from behind, he was being followed.

Cassius stopped and looked around, asking Nurse to sniff out any threats. Watching intently, he followed the dog's trail as it sniffed down the uninvited guest. Nurse begun to bark loudly and growl, running around the corner. "Nurse! Wait up!", forming a small ball of combat water Cassius ran to her side and when he turned the corner he saw the generally calm husky chewing on the intruders coat, in a state of capture holding down the supposed threat, a woman- slightly older than himself, attractive even. But Cassius knew basically everyone in the Water Fortress...who the hell are you?

"I'm on duty, sent by Elder Yagoda's personal service- YOU on the other hand are not. You better have a goddamn good explana-"

He was cut off as two ice shards were fired from the Water streets rooftops, everyone's eyes shot up. It was an ambush. Unused to combat, Cassius' unskilled instincts compelled him to jump to the girl's side, getting into what he assumed was a battle formation.

"You coming? These guys always try to get any unusual yahoo in these parts." And with that, she motioned the stream by them to lift them up to the rooftops, hardening one of the rooftops with the water to support Borealis' weight without breaking. "We can talk later fancy pants. Right now, if you're an officer as you say, you wouldn't mind bringing these two to justice now would you?"

They started casually walking back the way they came, Cassius dropped his water and his tension but not his tone as he interrogated the girl. "Who are you and why have I never seen you before? That sort of things it rare you know. Especially with that waterbending skill level."

Waiting for a response they walked across the stream and into a narrow alleyway. Nurse still patrolled behind dutifully watching the powerful stranger.

I don't think we have that many people in this yet to do that, unless I misunderstood what you meant there.

As for my Waterbending skill, I was trained by Master Pakkun's heir, and then trained on my own independently. So I am a local, you just haven't seen me around because, I'm sort of a hermit. My igloo is on the outskirts of this city, away from the hustle and bustle. There, Borealis here and I just enjoy life each and every day. Even though my parents have passed on to the great moon spirits, I just don't feel comfortable inheriting their house for some reason. I only tend to show my skill when it is needed; like just now, and whenever the chief or one of his elders calls on me, I come running. My parents and them were very close friends, and I am as well, obviously...but I'm just not a city girl. And oh, where are my manners, name's Aurora. If you can put two and two together, Borealis and I are named this way to honor the Northern Lights. And you're only an aide? Pardon me, from the looks of you, you looked a bit higher ranking than that. Well that answers your questions I believe...now I have one for you."

Cassius was still oddly entranced with the girl as they walked. Her very existence still eluded him as she spoke, wondering how a fellow waterbender could be so off the radar to him, he was 'in' the network- he should've known everyone, which usually would've given him reason to fret or be suspicious of the person, was there a reason she was never mentioned? But he was too interested in her to raise such rude questions. She lived on the outside and was an orphan, so there probably was a good reason.

"You know the elders?! You must be pretty important too then if you're personally requested by the likes of Master Pakku! What, are you like really super strong or something? and only called in for super secret missions?!" Cassius was accidentally dropping his mature and contained persona and dialect, a rarity. He coughed upon realising and deepened his voice. I mean, that's very interesting- i'm glad we could be introduced."

Upon hearing her disappointment to his role he quickly snapped, "the role of Yagoda's aide is a very prodigious and highly-esteemed job! Yagoda is one of the most important officials in the entire water clan and she has no other successor. When there's an incident, a battle or a disease (Cassius momentarily paused and shivered) ....i'm the first one they call. I think you might honestly be the only person in this city who doesn't know who I am." He said surprisingly smugly, showing off to the girl. "They don't call me the Male Medic for nothing. And anyway, once Yagoda's time is over I will be a Water tribe official"....You could practically see his eyes shimmering.

Ignoring her final question Cassius reminded himself of his mission and moved up the pace a bit, hoping to politely lose her in the winding maze of paths.
