The new series is just a marketing gig, they saw how successful the first was and want to make some dough.
It'll probably fail epically or be awesome.

aang did all his training in secret and therefore became the strongest
if he was allowed to waltz around getting easy training it wouldn't be avatar
it does sound like a water tribe name...maybe Aang and katara did the horizontal tango

Roku was 70 but he probably would have lived to be a lot older if Sozin didn't betray him like an arse O_O
Bumi, who was the same age as Aang 100 years ago is 112, so Aang could live as long as him or close to that. Kiyoshi was 230 years old O_O
true true....but do you really want to see a grown up Aang? and Kiyoshi lived in a time of peace I believe, except when she created Kiyoshi island. Though If they are going to keep the "Last Airbender" part of the title, than either Aang will need to be part of the show, or there will need to be another airbender. However I think that that "Last Airbender" was just part of the larger Avatar series and Aang and the original crew may not even been in the story other than flashbacks
