Here's the story about Gov concerned about Sydney/Kings Cross weekends and girls got smashed so they want to stop serving shots and strong alcohol in the bars after 10 pm, ban selling multiple drinks and simply not allow drunk people into the pubs/clubs ... and that's Kings Cross we're talking about it had this sort of reputation for century.. I live in Kings Cross and I see this every thursday to Sunday, Saturdays are the most aggressive ones and theres nothing wrong with
it, it's fun <3 :D

The point of this thread is IT'S KINGCROSS IT IS,WAS INFAMOUS...tourists go there to experience this, it might not be the most beatiful thing about Sydney, and partly it's shoking and ugly, but it's how this place should be... Amsterdam.. everyone goes the to get high and no problemz

...I don't even...let me break it down here and now:

First of all, most girls, and guys, shouldn't be allowed to drink anyway. If you can't hold your liquor, then you shouldn't be able to drink. I learned to hold my liquor when I was 17 (I'm 24 now). Let's just say I could drink a whole bottle of rum, and the bartender would continue to serve me simply because they wouldn't be able to tell if I'm drunk or not. You keep your high inside you, you don't let it out for everyone to see. If someone can tell that you're drunk, you automatically fail...like really, really hard. It's the worst fail ever.

The only thing I hate more than guys that can't hold their liquor, are girls that can't. For some reason it pi**es me off, but at the same time I'm glad because now I know which ones are drunk. ;) I can attend a business meeting with a near lethal amount of alcohol in my system, and no one would ever know...ever. Why? Because I'm a man, a real man, not some pansy a**ed b*tch getting drunk off appletinis. I drink 100 proof CM Black Cask straight from the bottle like a freaking pirate; I get mad when someone hands me a glass of whiskey with ice in it 'cause they ruined the whiskey.

So yeah, as far as I'm concerned, shut it all down. These people don't deserve the right to drink; they're making us look bad.

Dang.

Your drinking skills reminds me of Toriko. That guy could drink a ton of alcohol and was not drunk yet.

Agree with you though. But it is probably not wise to attend a business meeting with a lot of alcohol in your system. ^_^

I live in Perth, and every Monday, without fail there is a story about how someone was assaulted in Kings Cross. I know about 2 months ago there was an 18 year old guy who got punched in the back of the head and died when he was walking to another club with his mates.

It's good that they're trying to crack down on it but there are better ways to do it then banning shots and strong drinks after 10pm. I mean over here we don't get to the clubs until about 10..

...Not a story, bro. That's the truth right there. xd

OT: No, they make drinking look bad as a whole. This is what went wrong with the hippies, they made marijuana look bad in the eyes of the public.

Dang.

Haha! Yeah, I guess I have some serious control. I decided to control it after my brother got on my a** about acting a fool while intoxicated. He told me to man up and act sober when drunk. That's it...he just told me to; now I can, and that's all it takes.

No, I've never attended a business meeting drunk...nor do I plan to. ;)

First of all, your post is really not logic at all. First of all, there's always a point where you're buzzed, or drunk, called it what ever you want. Half of the time, we don't even realize this ourselves and think we aren't. Even if you think you're A-OK, there are always signs in our way of acting, or just thing in our body itself that show we aren't a hundred percent sober. Drinking 1 beer already has the ability to ruin sleep, even if we think it doesn't.

Secondly, you trying to prove so hard that you're "a real man" makes it even harder to believe. You can say all you want that "they" make us look bad, but in all honesty, doesn't your "drinking skill" just prove that you make people look as bad?

What is worse, someone who can drink a shitload of alcohol and still isn't smashed or someone who drink and does get smashed? Seems to me like it's pretty clear who has an alcohol issue. Also, this just proves the point that alcohol isn't something that most (young) people drink to enjoy, but rather to get drunk. If you don't get drunk after drinking an entire bottle of whiskey/rum and what not, doesn't that kind of defeat the purpose of even still drinking? If would respond to this with the argument that you do drink to enjoy a whiskey (like you did in your statement), you wouldn't have to drink such ridiculously stupid amounts of alcohol to enjoy it, because something you enjoy is something you have with limits. 1 or 2 glasses, not more. An entire bottle isn't enjoying it anymore.

Also, your statement about drinking whiskey on the rocks is just so far off. Are you honestly telling me that you'd complain if someone drinks jack daniels with ice cubes in it? Those aren't even "really good whiskeys", thus you can't even screw those up.

anyways, i've ranted enough, so on-topic:

I don't think it should be closed or prohibited. If you go there for a drink, you know fully well what to expect. Go somewhere else if you want to have a calm night with just a few drinks with friends. Same reason why hippies didn't demonstrate in Vietnam itself, but rather in the states. What's the point of preaching peace in a war zone? You won't be able to preach peace with a bullet through your head, and you sure as hell won't enjoy a calm evening out with 500000000000 drunk people around you.
