One of the only person he shows even a spec of respect for is Kakashi Hatake whos skill in battle is one of his only matches.

Background Info.
History: When the war broke out and his home in the land of whirlpools was destroyed his family sent him to Konoha with a merchant and good friend in order to ensure his safety. Before they were able to make the journey themselves their village was attacked and all of its inhabitants were slaughtered leaving 5 year old Auron orphaned and alone. Even at his young age his skill was obvious graduating from the academy at the age of 6 and becoming a chunnin by the age of 8. His close childhood friends was Kakashi Hatake who like himself showed much promise. By the age of 14 he was asked to join the ANBU as a squad leader however he declined due to his hatred of the idea behind the black ops due to his parents being killed by a similar team. At the age of 22 he became a jounin and got a squad of gennins which would eventually die in a mission to assassinate a dangerous warlord. At this point he lost all interest in life and started to blame the ninja system for the death of everyone he ever cared about and left Konoha along with a group of chunnin whos life story were very similar. From then on he decided caring about life was meaningless because you would just be setting yourself up to get hurt. With his new philosophy he decided to become to become a bounty hunter and was offered a position in the Akatsuki organization however remembering his childhood friends and realizing their ultimate goal could not bring himself to accept and has been in a dangerous feud with them ever since.
