The official website of the compilation anime films based on Hajime Isayama’s Attack on Titan (Shingeki no Kyojin) manga has revealed the third new visual for the upcoming second film, Attack on Titan: Wings of Freedom (Shingeki no Kyojin Kouhen ~Jiyuu no Tsubasa~). Additionally, the site has also revealed details about the Blu-ray release of the first compilation film.
The anime’s website has revealed some information about the Blu-ray release of the first compilation film, Attack on Titan: Crimson Bow and Arrow (Shingeki no Kyojin Zenpen ~Guren no Yumiya~). The Blu-ray will be released in Japan on March 18th and will cost ¥9,000 (~ $75 USD) for a limited edition release and ¥4000 (~ $32.90 USD) for a standard Blu-ray. All copies of the release will contain the 120 minute film, a collection of trailers and commercials released, the PV for the second film, and audio commentary.
The limited edition Blu-ray will also include the following extras:
A special three way case designed by Isayama
The OST of the film, which includes 17 minutes of new songs by Linked Horizon
A Digipack drawn by character designer Kyoji Asano
A 3-D pop-up book of the anime’s visual
A 52 page book about the anime’s setting
The first usage of DTS Headphone:X with 11 channel sound
The first details about Attack on Titan: Wings of Freedom was released at the screening of the first compilation film, Attack on Titan: Crimson Bow and Arrow (Shingeki no Kyojin Zenpen ~Guren no Yumiya~), where it also was revealed that the second season of the Attack on Titan (Shingeki no Kyojin) anime will be broadcasting in 2016.
Attack on Titan: Wings of Freedom will cover the last 13 episode of the 2013 anime series. Like with the first film; there will be alterations and additional scenes, it will feature new audio with a 5.1 surround sound remaster, and a complete audio re-dubbing with the same cast members.
