I haven't read any of the manga yet so no spoilers please, but I did just watch the first 2 episodes! It looks awesome so far and the soundtrack is amazing for the first two episodes. I believe the third episode was just recently subbed so I'm going to check that out now.

For those of you who dont know: Attack on Titan is set in a world where the remains of the human population live inside cities surrounded by enormous walls due to the sudden appearance of the Titans, gigantic humanoid creatures who devour humans seemingly without reason.

I think its good enough to recommend for you guys to check out and let me know what you think! :)

I've read the manga so i know that things will get better later on, the animation is also good as well(which is needed for the fights later on).I think you should stick with the anime instead since its much better than the manga(in terms of explaining things and art style).

Plot: a very good one, you don't see any asspull, everything is foreshadowed in some way. The anime doesn't stick to the manga continuity, ep 3 is 14-16 (flashback) from the manga. That's not bad, is just because at the beggining the manga was a bit more rushed so you could get in to the story. Interactions between chars feels natural, there's a lot of interesting people with clear background. Also, AoT defies some shonen convenions and doesn't use your typical stereotypes.

Visual: The anime is epic. The manga is also awesome but has some trouble with the art and char desing. In the manga is dificult to tell apart Reiner from Jean, and Mikasa looks more tombyish at some moments. The anime is gorgeous.

I watched the first anime episode, then all the mangas yet so far and last week episode. I recommend both manga and anime.
Is a shame that AoT is not a weekly manga.

It's definitely one of my faves, for sure.

Back when I was reading through the manga, I was hoping they wouldn't screw up the anime adaptation badly, but they seem to be doing a fantastic job so far. I hope it covers most of the events in the manga so far, since it would be a shame if it didn't.

Well Mikasa is supposed to look like that. She's not just a girly girl. She's a savage
