I mean the manga is slightly different from the last episode of the anime. So slight in fact that it really doesn't matter at all. You can start reading on like chapter 34 and you won't be really missing out on anything you didn't see other than minor details that don't have any effect to the story.

The story gets better though and since we don't know when the second season will come it's definitely worth reading in my opinion.

I CAN't WAIT BUT I DEFINETLY WILL WHEN I START WATCHING KYOUKAI NO KANATA TOMORROW!

They will have a second season because manga is well and ongoing. Like everybody said, if you can't wait till then, read the manga. Even if you don't like reading manga, the turn of events will captivate you. Almost all of your questions above have been answered in the manga at this point.

And about kyoukai no kanata, it's worth your time, so watch it

I liked it more in the anime due to animation and music. It depends on one's tastes but i enjoyed the fights more in the anime, all of them..
