My response to the video:
In the posted video, he ask one question "Why?" This question is broken down into three essential things. First he talks about consequence, then he talks about evil in general, and last why do we exist.
Ok, lets start with consequence. The concept of a consequence is completely subjective to each person. So, who really gets to decide what others should be punished for.
Second he spoke about Evil! Again this is also very subjective and depends entirely on what you have been raised to believe. If someone is raised to believe turtles are holy beings and then someone kills one in front of them, that would be an evil act in their mind. However, the other person may just be carrying out his daily job, not thinking anything about it.
Last he talks about why we exist. Well, there is no definitive divine proof that any religion has the correct answer. So, why claim that something you're not 100% positive of, is correct? Why not just say that you don't know? Saying that you don't know is technically more accurate.
I'm an Agnostic Theist, and it means that I do believe in the possibility of a "God-Like" being, but I have no proof of such. So I only believe in what's proven. Some people say that they believe because of faith..... Well, I have faith my toaster will toast my bread, should I worship it?
The real concept of right and wrong is in the mind of each person, for example: The guy who thought killing turtles was wrong vs the guy who was raised to kill them for a living. Who has the right to judge the other for what they believe? Religion is dangerous and shouldn't be taken so seriously.
