"For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms." -Ephesians 6:12

I thought you were told not to make threads like these?

See? Look, he's not even watching this thread. He just makes it then goes away. There's no "care" about this one bit.

As an atheist I cannot answer the question of "why" because I do not believe there is a specific reason for existence. I don't think there is a supernatural presence that imposes consequences on people for misdeeds, but that doesn't make them any less wrong. Man can judge man and condemn him for wrongdoing. Atheism doesn't eliminate the concept of good and evil. Morality is variable, but it can come from man's judgement with or without the belief in an external force.
Atheism and theism can coexist in the same sphere in the sense that God is non-falsifiable, which means that he cannot be proven or disproven. In that sense, while I don't believe in a god because I cannot prove he's there, I think it's equally valid that you believe in Him because of that same reason. In the end, there doesn't have to be a reason for things. I have moral values regardless of the fact that I don't think we're here for a specific purpose. Getting on to the evolution argument, it isn't an issue of belief. Evolution is a naturally observed phenomena that is scientifically backed. Sure, man is an animal, but that doesn't mean he isn't something more as well. That additional something doesn't have to come from an external force, but rather from within ourselves. Onto morality, just because I'm an atheist, it doesn't mean I think that Hitler or the Columbine shooters were justifiable. Rather, I find their actions morally reprehensible based on my own informed beliefs.

Matthew 22:36-40 "Love your neighbor as yourself"
I am not against religion, and I don't attack it. As a Christian, you should know better than to be judging others and attacking their beliefs.

My response to the video:

In the posted video, he ask one question "Why?" This question is broken down into three essential things. First he talks about consequence, then he talks about evil in general, and last why do we exist.

Ok, lets start with consequence. The concept of a consequence is completely subjective to each person. So, who really gets to decide what others should be punished for.

Second he spoke about Evil! Again this is also very subjective and depends entirely on what you have been raised to believe. If someone is raised to believe turtles are holy beings and then someone kills one in front of them, that would be an evil act in their mind. However, the other person may just be carrying out his daily job, not thinking anything about it.

Last he talks about why we exist. Well, there is no definitive divine proof that any religion has the correct answer. So, why claim that something you're not 100% positive of, is correct? Why not just say that you don't know? Saying that you don't know is technically more accurate.

I'm an Agnostic Theist, and it means that I do believe in the possibility of a "God-Like" being, but I have no proof of such. So I only believe in what's proven. Some people say that they believe because of faith..... Well, I have faith my toaster will toast my bread, should I worship it?

The real concept of right and wrong is in the mind of each person, for example: The guy who thought killing turtles was wrong vs the guy who was raised to kill them for a living. Who has the right to judge the other for what they believe? Religion is dangerous and shouldn't be taken so seriously.

Interesting, this time you managed to spell three words correct. You're almost to five, keep up the work.
