Well, if they're both exactly the same price and have the same stuff in them, except for the amount of RAM, isn't it obvious you chose the one with more RAM?

Asus, but I'll give you a hint about hardware: The most expensive is always the best. Cheaper is never better when you are buying computer peripherals.

Edit: If you're using it mostly for graphics, find one with the biggest screen and best graphics.

Acer, because:
- You get more RAM (faster task-managing for 3D, photoshop, etc)
- Dedicated graphics (better, faster display--Asus doesn't have it)
- Processor is slightly faster (so.. faster processing lol)
- Has S-Video output (for hooking to TV, etc.)

i have a laptop of acer from the same series it works great and all that but it seems to have a fault, it starts lagging right after i connect it my Home Cinema via HDMI, it might be a problem when it comes to presentations and other plans for fun.
i also believe they both have an LED display which i don't prefer at all when it comes graphics, no more smooth edges or crystal clear windows. One thing i didn't get about Aspire series is that power button, i don't get why its like that i always think does it have any other mech XD
but one thing about Acer is its reliability, our household have 3 Laptops, 1 Dell XPS, 2 Acer, my Dell f-ed up 3 times and Acer survived all kinds of bloody viruses
Asus is idle on all matters, it wont make a difference if you either with the faults stated but i'd say Acer obviously because of what gamahiro said and the RAM

I'd go for the Asus, but I'm sure you can find a better model for the same if not cheaper. I have a G73 but only paid $500 (303£) you should shop around...

and yes I realize that the G73 is a gaming laptop, but it has bomb components as do all Asus comps.

final fyi... if gamahiro says so ... it is!

Laptops? not recommended, by the way i just see the Technical specifications both the laptops that u show, seriously that thing u want to buy the ram maybe fast but read the Technical specifications huh man i won't buy it, if you working on graphic batter you build desktop your self much cheaper and powerful or if you still want laptops for graphic i recommend you use AMD Processor With ATI Redeon GPU DDR3 OR DDR5
brand well its a brand
Basically The Hardware Inside Is The Same thing so chose whatever brand u want the Technical specifications is important
